The Land of Night

• The Evensong Cove

  Evensong Cove is the entrance to Nysefy (Nis-if-eh), the kingdom within the mountain. The waters of Evensong are deep and dark as night, all throughout the cove are jagged rock formations. The current is strong but once a sailor navigates through the rock formations the water the current becomes calm. Only the best sailors can make it through this passage, but once they are they are drawn down the Specus Flumen into the caverns that open up into the palace of Nysefy.
  
  Entire ships can fit down these caves, and inside there are several piers set up along with quarters for those that have traveled across the black waters to Noxanoir. The waters of the Evensong Cove, once those have entered the cave itself, are crystalline and smooth, clear to their deepest depths the soft glow of the cavern illuminates the water and offers a warm greenish light for ships to sail by.
  
  Roaring from the top of Durnecatch is the Vilemouth, a natural waterfall that crashes behind the palace of Nysefy and fills the cove. The Vilemouth so earned it's name because of the treacherousness of the river that feeds it. Full of riptides and undercurrents the River of Durne is the most violent and beautiful of places inside Noxanoir.

• The Palace of Nysefy

  Named for the first Oracle of Noxanoir, the first Queen, the Palace of Nysefy is the seat of power in Noxanoir. While there is no class system in the Vanox there is however the Augury, a high order of Vanox Women that have the gift of foresight. These women are most often where the Oracle is selected from, and while an Oracle is in place they serve her.
  
  The Palace of Nysefy is one of the most beautiful and creepy places in Paradium, built out of crystal and stone the structure has high ramparts and sharp angles. In many ways it resembles jutting crystal put together, but the entire structure puts off an ethereal glow of greens and purples. It shimmers in the darkness like a beacon of hope and so it is thought that as long as the Palace of Nysefy glows in the darkness the peace will be kept. But when Nysefy goes dark, the ire of the Vanox shall race across the surface of Paradium.
  
  Inside the Palace are vast rooms filled with sculptures and artifacts, paintings and tapestries, and so many other beautiful relics from civilizations around Paradium. Cut into the walls of the throne room is the story of the land, from the birth of the Gods to the current age. In the hall of the Augur there are tapestries of each of the Oracles throughout the years.
  
  Guarding the palace are the Nysefy Warriors, an elite squadron of Vanox Warriors that were blessed with the True Dark. A gift that only Ramar can bestow. The True Dark is both a rank and a gift, those that hold the rank of the True Dark are a rich black skin tone with black eyes and black hair. They wear armor of the thinnest black steel and they have curved blades gilded with a single strip of gold so that as the blade swings the last thing it's victim sees is the dawn of night.
  
  Here deep within the main room of the castle sits the Obsidian Throne, seat of Ramar and the seat of judgement for Paradium.

• The Prison of Inklyndion

  The Prison of Inklyndion is the prison of Paradium, cut deep within the heart of Noxanoir the prison is a cylindrical design that is open in the middle. The cells are curled around the cylinder with the back of them open so that they stare down into the Inklyndion.
  
  The prison has been the fear of all races for generations, and has been known to hold some of the most deadly of beasts inside it. The unique design means that if anyone tried to escape through the open side they would plunge into the Inklyndion, a never ending shadow. Many have tried the Ink, and none have survived.
  
  Those that dwell within the Ink are solitary creatures, they live in complete darkness and it is said that as the years drone by they become so accustomed to the dark that they no longer have use for their eyes. Few have ever left the Ink, most live the duration of their lives in complete and utter darkness or choose to take the plunge and end their lives.
