Eric is a normal twentysomething guy. He's funny, he's nice, has okay work ethic. Nothing out of the ordinary. He'll sometimes go out on Friday nights with his highschool buddy, Sean, or stay in to finish up paperwork. Hates his office job but who doesn't, right? He thinks he's doing okay in life and has everything planned out. Even if he really doesn't.
He's not that charismatic or outgoing or that macho man every woman wants, and there are things he'd change about himself. But other than that? He's fine. He's just trying to get by in life without crashing and burning. Although sometimes, it does get pretty close to feeling like so. He'll have moments here and there where he wonders what the fuck he's doing with his life. But he doesn't really talk about them, or his emotions at all really, and will carry on like they never happen. In all honesty (and you'd never really get him to admit this), Eric's bored. Bored of his cookie-cutter life and everything he does on a daily basis. Sure, he acts like everything is fine and it sort of is. But he sometimes wishes he could just... up and leave everything behind and start over. Do more exciting things like sky-diving or going out on Saturdays or even exploring his sexuality. He doesn't want to feel so... anchored when he's so young. But he just doesn't have the motivation to do any of that. Not yet, anyways. |
