Joshua Lee Davis

Backstory

• Childhood/Origin

  Joshua Lee Davis was born and raised in a small home in Ioannina (Yannena), Greece along with his twin brother Samuel Jones Davis. After problems began rising in the family Josh and his family were forced to hop on an 18-hour flight and move to America, specifically Olympia, Washington. The grueling 18-hour flight was hard to sit through for the young boys, their mother trying to entertain the pair as best she could. As soon as the plane landed the young boys were up and ready to start their new life. The biggest issue the family had was the language barrier, while Josh's parents knew some English the boys didn't know any which created many problems when they were put into school. Samuel learned quickly while Joshua was slow and couldn't grasp reading the new language, it was so different from their native language that Joshua nearly gave up on learning to read completely.

• School/Introduction

  In school Joshua did fairly well, taking different classes from most of the other foreign students as he was very apprehensive and cautious of what was going on. Eventually, the boys were integrated into normal classes when they could solidly hold a conversation in English, that was when Joshua met Aurora. Aurora was a sweet girl, Josh being seated next to her she had introduced herself before Josh could even introduce himself to her. He was happy that someone was already talking to him and making him feel a little less scared about this entire situation, though his introduction to the class could've gone better. He completely embarrassed himself, tripping over his heavy accent the entire time, the class stifling back laughs and giggles when he would get frustrated at himself. Aurora would glare at those who would make fun of the poor boy, his brother only standing by him to be moral support and to help his brother say what he wanted to say.

• Aurora/Leaving

  Joshua and Aurora bonded more and more over time, eventually, Aurora giving him the official title of "Joshy" which was her pet name for him. He had, of course, developed a crush on her, a very obvious one at that and she found it rather cute but also found herself liking him. She was too prideful to admit it, as they grew older she couldn't hide her feelings and he was too naive to take the hints that she was throwing at him. She was the one to ask him out which he gleefully accepted, his father disliking her due to her horrible influence on his son. His father ended up forcing him to go to a military school and sent him away so that he could stomp out any chances of Joshua and Aurora getting together. Joshua left to serve and Aurora and Samuel became close, only ever talking about Joshua and how much they really missed him and wanted him back home. As soon as they heard he would be back home they were up and going to where all the cadets would be dropped off at, they waited for so long and they finally embraced him for the first time in what felt like forever.

• Parting ways/Reunion

  Once they saw him he had longer hair and dawned facial hair, looking older and more mature than when he left but he was the same Joshua when he had left. Aurora laughed and smiled when he pulled them into a group hug before promptly telling Joshua he smelled like a dirty sock to which they all laughed and joked. Although the reunion was happy Joshua and Aurora went their ways for awhile, Josh joining the local police force and dating Terry for a year before they ended the relationship on good terms. It was awhile that Joshua hear anything from or about Aurora who he still held feelings for, trying to find her or contact her he eventually gave up. One fateful night when Josh was out for a walk he was attacked, not knowing who or what he had fought back until his assailant stopped. Laying on his back with a huge gash in his side he looked up, seeing a large pink scythe pointed at him and the blonde bombshell at the other end. Looking at her with wide eyes and in pain she promptly put away her scythe and dropped to his side, looking scared and apologizing profusely to him as he was now passing out.

• Recovery/Visit

  Joshua woke up in a hospital bed, in pain and groggy from what he thought was a dream, but it wasn't. Trying to sit up cause pain to shoot up his body, making him wince and give up on trying. As he looked around his hospital room he noticed flowers and cards, he had no idea that he had been sleeping for a few days at this point due to the damage Aurora caused him. He remembered that night so vividly, seeing Aurora ready to cut him down and kill him gave him chills as he tried to tell himself it wasn't really her. Though something was off about that, she seemed so worried and upset at what she had done, rushing to his side and trying to help him, she must've been the one to call an ambulance or take him to the hospital. At this point both Samuel and Terry stepped in, seeing that he was now awake Samuel rushed to get a doctor while Terry rushed to his side and expressed how happy he was to see Josh finally awake. After questioning Terry told him everything, how he had responded to a call and found Aurora by his side, trying to stop the bleeding and freaking out over the situation. She seemed scared and shaken up, she never meant to hurt him and had no idea that she had even hurt him until she saw his face.

• Aurora/Staying

  After recovering Joshua went home, Aurora didn't visit him once because she was too scared to show her face to him after hurting him. It was only a few months later when he got a knock on the door, the beautiful blonde standing on the other side as she immediately embraced him in a hug and started apologizing. He hesitantly hugged her back and brought her inside, shutting the door behind him as he carefully set her down on the couch and sat beside her. She seemed upset and angry, more so at herself than him while still trying to hide how she felt about him, calling him dumb and stupid for what happened even though she had attacked him. He just smiled and laughed it off, telling her that it was okay and giving her a hug. They once again bonded, he even offered to let her stay with him which she accepted in her usual "sure, whatever I guess" way.

• Dating/Parenthood

  After a few months, their relationship of just staying together turned into dating, very casual and loose dating at her request, but dating none the less. He was more than happy, able to spend time with the woman he still held feelings for. They were on and off, sometimes he would have to leave for a few weeks and it would go quiet. He didn't like leaving her because he worried about her, but she had convinced him that she could take care of herself and would be just fine. Soon Joshua had to leave, he was being deployed once again. It was only a few months after he left that Aurora found out she was pregnant with their first child, they weren't even married and she was alone, without her Joshy. She had told him through a letter, finding out this news Josh went quiet for a few days, he was shocked and didn't know what to do. He was half-way across the world, what was he supposed to do?

• Settling/Family

  Joshua made it home a few days before Aurora went into labor, he was able to make it to see the birth of their son. He was scared, they weren't married and weren't ready to be parents. They had no idea what they were doing, it was all new to them but Joshua had reached the minimum number of tours and left the military life behind, officially settling in Olympia, Washington once more. He had decided that he was going to ask her to marry him, they had a child and he felt as if the time was right. He had planned to ask her on a dinner date he had planned, he was nervous but he knew he could do it, he knew he could ask her. Once he asked her she tearfully accepted his proposal, they were both so happy and got married in his home country of Greece per his request. After their marriage, they had fraternal twin girls and had moved to a larger home to support a family of five.
