Muddle is a shy, quiet thing that seems to be built into her shell, both figuratively and literally. She'd rather say nothing at all than make an enemy, and often it can be difficult to coax her to speak when she's nervous or feeling self conscious. When backed into a social corner, she often panics and freezes up or becomes incredibly clumsy. This often makes her look less than bright, which couldn't be further from the truth, but has resulted in her nickname: Muddle.
She's a plump, small thing, barely 5'3", with a coat of purple-grey, dragon like scales, and a thick, prehensile tail. She has a rounded muzzle with a petite nose at the end; dark, wide eyes; and small, but mobile ears that seem to be a little larger than most other pangolins. She has no hair worth mentioning, but the scales on her head do stand up somewhat in a way that could mimic the shape of a very shortly cropped hairstyle. She stands digigrade on two feet, but possesses long claws that must be trimmed regularly for her to do so. The claws on her first two fingers are often left to grow to let her dig properly, and come to long, curved points.
Only the back of muddle, from her forehead to her tail, is covered in her signature, artichoke leaf shaped scales. Her front side is covered in soft, sparse fur.
Thankfully, unlike her feral cousins, Muddle does have teeth, though they are very small, sort, and conical, and her food choices therefore are limited. Like an ant-eater, she has a long, sticky tongue that can reach to an alarming distance and is muscular enough to lift wayward treats back to her mouth. Her tongue, stunningly, is much longer than her own body once fully unfurled, and is stored within a sheath in her chest cavity.

Diet: Muddle is insectivorous, but can also enjoy soft fruits. She enjoys sweet drinks and honey. She must also occasionally swallow small stones in order to digest her food, but will eventually cough them back up as Pangolin Stones.

Abilities
Digging
Muddle is a capable digger-- more so if all her claws are allowed to grow, though allowing her hind claws to grow out prevents her from being able to walk upright. She can dig out a burrow tall enough for an average human adult to crawl in and stand up in within half an hour. Her claws are incredibly tough, and cannot be trimmed with specialized equipment and a good soaking.
Sense of Smell
Muddle's sense of smell is incredible. Beyond allowing her to smell out tasty snacks (one of her previous uses was a truffle hunter), she is capable of picking up on others emotions this way, as most emotions are accompanied by chemical changes within the body, which she can smell. She can usually also smell if someone is lying.
Pangolin Stones
The stones Muddle takes in to help her digest eventually come back up partially crystallized. This seems to be a trait unique to Muddle, and does not occur in nature. These gems quite brightly polished, if not very big. The color depends on the stone originally ingested.
Climbing
Muddle is an adept climber, and fast. If you lose her up a tree, don't expect to get her down again any time soon.

Muddle can read and write common, as well as do basic mathematics-- or she could if she could see properly.
Drawbacks
Eyesight
Muddle is very nearsighted, and could probably do with a good pair of glasses. She makes due most days, but can often be seen squinting when trying to make sense of the shapes around her. Typically her sense of smell allows her more information than her sight.
