    Planet (Current): She was abandoned as an infant on a planet in the Outer Rim called Lorixium III, She remains there to this day.
    Occupation: She is a slave, working for the Mineral mines like many others in the small settlement. She has a gift for mechanics and such works maintenance on the mining equipment when not in the mines herself.
    Special Abilities: She is dexterous and quick on her feet, and often lucky. There is more to it than simple luck to it though, Nyx is force sensitive, though she is not fully aware of it, and has never been trained
    Affliction: She has an illness called Lorixium Sickness common among those in the mineral mines. The byproducts of the fuel minerals mined are quite toxic leading to an illness that causes coughing, fainting, bouts of dizziness, and slowly worsening weakness. Eventually, people die of Lorixium Sickness, but it is a slow and cruel death, easily preventable and treatable by medicines not available to the oppressed citizens of Lorixium who are largely seen as an expendable resource.
    Personality: Determined, persevering, curious, ultimately trends towards good or grey but undoubtedly swayed by others. She doesn't know a lot about the world around her but tends to view things with wonder rather than fear of the unknown.

    Typical Clothing:She wears weathered and patched overalls, and cloth boots and gloves. When she is in the mines, she wears a scarf and goggles over her face in an attempt to filter some of what she is exposed to.

  • Bio

    Nyx doesn't know much about the circumstances of her birth. As a child, only two years of age, she was abandoned on the doorstep of a Bothan blacksmith, on the small, harsh but beautiful jungle planet of Lorixium deep in the outer rim. He took her in to raise as his own, alongside his six other children, but life wouldn't remain peaceful for long. When Nyxis was Seven, war erupted over the planet, and not an inch of their land was left untouched by its cruel hand.

    Lorixium had a valuable mineral at its core, The Lorixium Mineral could be broken down into potent combustible fuel and that resource would not go untapped by the Imperials who were quick to move on the small, unprepared planet. Its people, simple farmers and merchants could put up no resistance, but nevertheless, they tried and were killed en masse for it. Those who surrendered or could be captured alive were enslaved and made to work in mines as their once beautiful planet was terraformed into a harsh, hellish one by the damage done to the planet in the pursuit of this coveted fuel. Those enslaved did not escape death either. The toxic mines infect and weaken the people, who die and are replaced by prisoners of war, with no hope of escaping the now, nearly uninhabitable planet.

    Here in this hell, Nyxis remains, doing her best to thrive despite the dower circumstances and her rapidly failing health. She is far from resigned to her fate though, she feels destined for more...
