Noah Hjalmar

In Noahs early life he grew up in the historical village of Lærdalsøyri, Norway. His father was a pilot for the Naval Space Operations (NSO) and his mother was a stay at home mom, taking care of him and his younger and older siblings. One day when he was about 12, he remembered his father telling him that they were going on a important mission, to breach into a new galaxy and explore the planets within. The galaxy was named Nostradamus, and the NSO hoped to find signs of new life, or maybe a inhabitable planet within its system. He told them that the journey would take 4 years, and when he returned he could retire and stay with his family. 4 years came and went, and his father was not heard from. More years passed, and nothing. It was apparent that all contact with the Pioneers were lost, and his father was more then likely never going to return.

Fueled by his heartbreak, he ventured forward to join the NSO and work to become a pilot, so that maybe one day they would go to Nostradamus again, and he can find some sort of closure. For years he trained to be a Pilot, but he was met with a roadblock, as one day he and the squad he was with was ambushed by Insurrectionist who blew up the transport vehicle they were driving. Noah survived, but the attack compromised his retinas, taking away his 2020 vision. Noah was not blind, but had sustained damage from the shrapnel that caused him to become near sighted. Today he often wears context to help with this. Because of this, he could not become a pilot by any means, and his hope to find out what happened to the missing Pioneers was lost. However, the opportunity arose once again, when he was approached with an offer to join a force that was planning on entering Nostradamus once again. He quickly jumped to the opportunity, becoming a squad leader of Pioneer 41st. He was tasked with escorting a team of scientist to a recently discovered planet called Cerberus.

Though he blames the NSO's incompetence for what happened, he is eager to pursue this new expedition, even if he doesn't get answers to what happened to his father, being the first to set foot on a new planet is an exciting thought. Armed with his squad of Marines, he is being shipped out to the Intergalactic Cruiser, "Morning Sun" ready to be dispatched with the team of scientist in a few days.

Noah is prepared with Valerian Armor, standard issue for marines, offering ample protection in vital areas while allowing for a wide range of motion. His helmet is a upgraded variant with better protection and a attached uplink module to allow for better comm links. He carries a PCAR-12, a weapon comparable to a modern day Famas and a Barracuda, a weapon that traces its heritage to the M9. He does not carry in lethal grenades but does often carry Flashbangs and EMP grenades. As long as communication with a command center is possible, he is able to request things like a air strike, supply drop, and other forms of support. Noah is a squad leader and has gained a high amount of respect from his team, he is able to efficiently direct his squad and give clear orders even in the heat of battle.
