Personality

At her forefront, Jess is a modern woman. Confident, intelligent, capable, and independent. She’s naturally very approachable, with her kind and warm demeanour. Jess is somewhere between reserved and social. While she’s not an overly bubbly or animated woman, she’s by no means dull or monotone, in both voice and body language. She’s quite the independent thinker, always wondering “why?”, rather going with the flow. This makes her particularly nice to talk to, as she engages actively in conversation, especially when the other person is talking about one of their interests.

Internally, Jess is a very compassionate and sweet woman. She’s selfless, much to her own detriment, though she’s worked hard on being more “selfish”. She often fills a role of a firefighter in her close ones’ lives, working hard to help solve problems and provide comfort wherever she can. There couldn’t ever be a single time that Jess would turn her back on someone in need.

Despite her somewhat small size and soft looks, Jess is not a woman to be trifled with, and she’s not easily dissuaded from her opinions, so it’s not easy to take advantage of her. Raised in a household headed by a military father, she’s a natural leader. She’s intelligent, observant, and resourceful. She’s surprisingly tough and resilient, capable of enduring great mental torment. Jess doesn’t back down all too easily, which is part of what makes her such a leading example of a police officer.

On that topic, the other part is her professionalism. Jess treats everyone with the same respect as she would want for herself, and puts safety first. In stressful situations, she’s able to keep a level head and think clearly, which extends outside of her career. When someone else is panicking, Jess is able to maintain hold of the situation and not let fear get to her.

Standing at five feet, four inches and weighing 115 pounds, Jess is not a particularly big woman. Though do not be deceived, while small and seemingly lacking any muscle, Jess is a surprisingly scrappy woman. While mass does matter in many circumstances, Jess has training to give her an edge – or chance – in hand-to-hand combat and wrestling. Her body is defined by being healthily thin, yet slightly curvaceous, with a little bit of ampleness where it matters.

She has full, wavy locks of a deep chestnut brown colour. She often styles her hair with a middle part, though she switches things up with bangs and even curls on occasion. Although white and most definitely not tanned, Jess has a slight caramel tint to her skin, and her face is triangular shaped. Perhaps the most remarkable part of her face is her eyes. They’re a gorgeous chocolate brown, radiating a warmth that really gives off a trustworthy look. Although she doesn’t have more vibrant green or blue eyes like some other women, the richness in her eye colour looks exceptionally good with dark eyeliner and mascara.

Speaking of makeup, Jess typically tries to wear less. Enough to look more beautiful, but not enough that it’s entirely distracting. She sticks to neutral hues that match her skin when it comes to eyeshadow, but always goes for dark eyeliner, and she particularly loves drawing wings to give her eyes a sharper look. She has ample lips, which can be painted a variety of colours with lipstick, though she usually sticks to pink.

Jess’ torso is lithe, lacking any discernible amount of muscle mass, though what little there is, is mostly concentrated in her lats, on her back. She helps keep this thin figure through a good diet and basic, but effective exercise routine. Her stomach is slim, and she never has to worry about how her stomach looks, though she does sometimes wish she had abs. Jess has B-cups, though she’s not insecure about this either.

While not an overly curvaceous woman, it would be a lie to say that Jess didn’t have any curves at all. She has a rather small hourglass figure, with her hips being slightly wider than her shoulders, and her waist being slimmer than both. One thing Jess is particularly insecure about is her hip dips. Almost entirely unnoticeable to men – due to the fact they’d likely ask, “What’s a hip dip?” – but nonetheless, Jess is not fond of them. Jess’ legs are proportionately longer than her torso, though it’s not all that noticeable given her short height.

In terms of fashion, Jess is particularly unique. When it comes to normal wear, she’s fond of sundresses in the summer, and in the colder months, she’s fond of jean and sweater combos. She enjoys wearing skirts when the weather is appropriate, and generally chooses footwear based on what she plans to be doing. She can be found in anything from sneakers to heels to boots. What makes her fashion notable is Jess’ love for fifties era attire. She has a plethora of vintage dresses, as well as blouses and skirts, and the various footwear, accessories, and headwear that go along with them.

Background

Jess was born into a small family of her parents and her older brother Michael in Northwestern Ontario, along Lake Superior. Michael was only two years older than her, and two years after Jess was born, her mother was pregnant again. By age three, Jess and Michael were joined by the youngest member of the Wiltsie Family, Aurora. Jess was raised in a very loving family, where she was taught a lot. From how to be kind to others to being courageous, Jess was given many important lessons by her mother and father that helped greatly to shape her into a strong and smart young woman.

Hunting trips were frequent, giving Jess necessary survival skills, and she proved to be a natural marksman with any gun handed to her, which would become particularly useful later on, given her career. In school, Jess always performed well, though she was sometimes mislabeled as the teacher’s pet. In high school, Jess only had one relationship, with a guy named Connor. Their relationship was fairly standard; healthy, but not without its problems, and after two years, they broke up.

College is where things became more complicated for her. Jess went for a degree in criminal law, but during her time in college, she met a girl named Scottie. There was no denying that there was a romantic connection between them, but there was one problem; Scottie had a little girl, named Paris, from a previous relationship. Despite this, Jess committed to Scottie during her entire four-year program. It was only towards the tail end of her program that the two broke up.

Ultimately, the stress of everything was causing more and more fights to happen, and though they still loved each other, they knew it was for the best. The two have remained very close friends ever since, and Jess sometimes wonders if she still has feelings for Scottie, the way her heart flutters a little when she sees her.
