Daisy is a thin, wispy girl who stands nearly a head taller than her mistress at 5’9. Her eyes are a rich chocolate brown, mirroring her long, stick-straight hair. Daisy is the niece of the Duke’s head butler and is exceptionally well educated, finished, and—by common standards—wealthy, thanks to her father’s successful shipping company. For these reasons, the Duke selected her to serve as companion to his granddaughter upon her arrival in England.
Daisy’s primary role is to ensure that her mistress brings no dishonor upon the family name, to educate her in the customs and expectations of English society, and to report back to the Duke on the progress of any courtships. Despite the formality of her duties, Daisy and her mistress quickly become close friends. Her mistress confides in her, seeks her counsel, and values Daisy’s opinions on life-altering decisions.
However, Daisy is not without ambitions of her own. While she is devoted to her role, she also hopes to secure her own place in society—ideally a favorable marriage—during her travels alongside her mistress.

Anne stands at 5’4, with short black hair cut neatly to her chin. She had barely completed her maid’s training when the Duke unexpectedly assigned her to attend his granddaughter—a decision that initially surprised the household. Anne had come from a smaller estate, where she learned early to work efficiently, observe carefully, and remain unnoticed. Though young and newly finished, she rose quickly to the demands of her position, anticipating her mistress’s needs before the mistress herself was aware of them.
Anne is exceptionally quiet, rarely speaking unless spoken to, and she moves through rooms like a ghost, often unnoticed by those around her. Yet her silence should not be mistaken for timidity. When Anne is alone with Daisy and the mistress, the dynamic shifts entirely. In private, the other two treat her as an equal—especially during their weekly card games, where Anne wins more often than she loses.
Within the trio, Anne serves as the steady, rational presence, gently reining in Daisy and her mistress when their plans or impulses grow too wild. She listens more than she speaks, remembers everything she hears, and offers her guidance sparingly—but when she does, it is almost always heeded.
Kong is the Mistress large white dog she brought from Texas. Weighing 120 pound at 31 inches tall he is not like the normal lap dogs of other noble girls. Kong is extremely smart, well trained, and protective. He is constantly accompanying his mistress or if he can’t he is left in the care of Anne. The mistress lets no other person care for Kong as he is the only thing, she had left that reminded her of Texas and her father.
