A stout, coldhearted businessman, Maxim is well-known among Russian officials and formerly, Soviet officials. As the head of Kotovsky Defense - a company founded by his own father during the Roaring Twenties and Soviet Russia's mass industrialization efforts - Maxim is a very wealthy and frankly, powerful man. He has a rather complicated relationship with his only daughter. Not a particularly affectionate man himself, Maxim pushed Mariya to be fearless, conquering, and above all else, enduring. This has strained the ties between the two, but it has also helped shape Mariya into the strong young woman that she is.

Dasha Alyona Donskoi
Dasha can be both similar and different to her husband. Dasha and her husband first met during a dinner party with Soviet officials, back in the late eighties. The dinner Dasha had cooked was so delicious that Maxim deemed it a total necessity to personally give his compliments to her. From there, the two kindled a love that would bring them a marriage and two children. Dasha is quite close with her daughter, given that her and Mariya were the only two women of the Kotovsky Manor. She is a strong and fearless woman, who does not put up with anything Maxim tries to pull. She is truly independent from her husband, other than his wealth, but she genuinely loves him. Mariya has idolized her mother, whose mother in turn was also a very fierce woman. Perhaps ferocity is a genetic trait within the Kotovsky bloodline, among many other traits.

Mikhail Lev Kotovsky
Mikhail stands out among the Kotovskys as the odd one out. While Maxim and Dasha are a styled couple, and his little sister a stunning beauty of intelligence. Mikhail is almost entirely unapproachable. He is quiet, often remaining reserved with a stoic expression. Conversations between Mikhail and even his family are brief and curt. That isn't to say he doesn't love his family, but he has the hardest time of them all conveying his emotions. A member of the Spetsnaz, Mikhail has looked face in the death, and his brutish build means he will not hesitate to use physical means to send a message, or enact revenge.
