    Rendir is sheltered and a bit awkward for his age, having spent most of his early years without a lot of socializing. He was adopted at the age of 10 by an older man estranged from his children, taken in as more of a ward than a son. During their time together, Ren grew into his caretaker, and in exchange, he learned to cook, clean, and play the violin and piano. He finished school while at home and rarely saw children his own age outside of a few of his classes. He is book smart, but not always the best at taking social cues.

    When his 'father' died, Rendir was left alone and without a real sense of self. He remains unsure of what he wants and uncomfortable with navigating the world on his own. He can be emotionally needy and naive. He comes across and spoiled and not very worldly.
