The Drowned Rat Tavern

The Drowned Rat, a cozy two-story Tavern & Inn situated in the heart of town, is a beloved establishment with a great reputation for safety. The owner, Byron Rolfe, is the owner and enforcer. He is fiercely protective of his teenage daughters, who work as barmaids, and will promptly expel any patron tries to harass them or who starts trouble of any kind. This policy makes The Drowned Rat a safe place for anyone to drop in and eat or stay the night.

Inside, the walls are unadorned, but illuminated by torches that are lit every night, while large windows let in natural light during the day. The hardwood beams that support the upper rooms intersperse the tables and chairs, while just chairs line the back wall. The bar is situated to the left of the entrance, and the kitchen door is adjacent to it. To the right is a cramped staircase leading to the upper rooms.

But it's the warm and inviting atmosphere that sets The Drowned Rat apart. The tavern exudes a sense of joy and camaraderie, inviting you to take a seat and settle in for a memorable experience.

As you push open the well-worn door you're greeted by the sounds of laughter and the aroma of savory meats and frothy alcohols.
