Elizibeth

Elizibeth was young when she was put into foster care, her parents suffering great injuries from a car crash and not being able to care for her. They were already a military family, so moving around wasn't new to her, but just like that she was stuck at a middle home for ages. She was affectively mute around all these new people, seeing new kids every other day and never attempting to befriend them. It took only one year before she ran away, gathering the middle houses cassette tapes (for teaching the younger kids) and disappearing in the middle of the night. She didn't want to have to get used to a whole new family when the time came.... if it ever did. Now she wanders the world, creating different animal masks on the way to hide her face and to stay unknown. The mask often matches the most popular species in the area she was in, trying to 'blend in' even at such a young age. Since 16, she has been on the run trying to find a place she can be comfortable, sleeping on roofs and in caves just to get up and keep going the next day. Now at 23, she has grown self-reliant, 7 years of experience to survive alone. (Background fits any setting with a few tweaks!)
