• History

  Thilga was an Atlantican Knight. He fought for his kingdom as a knight for a few years from the age of 16 to the age of 19. He didn't speak much, and nobody knew much about him. All anyone knew was that he would kill without hesitation and he was a masterful fire elementalist.
  
  As time went on, he was entrusted with more responsibility. He moved up the ranks, controlling bigger and bigger units of soldiers.
  
  When the marshal died, he was the one who was picked for replacement.
  
  Opposing armies burned like paper before him. Entire countries were turned to glass.
  
  Soon, Thilga wanted full control. He wanted to be king. The once noble knight had been corrupted by lust for power and blood.
  
  He marched on his own country, and became ruler of them all. He ruled with an iron fist.
  
  One day, however, a young man much like Thilga himself challenged the throne in a much different way. He called Thilga out as a traitor to the throne and a tyrant over Atlantica.
  
  Thilga was run out of his rule, to be replaced by the young man who was responsible.
  
  Now he runs: A rogue, trying to find refuge from those he once ruled.

  Okay, to answer you first question, no. Atlantians are not Mer-people who live under the sea, being ruled by King Triton. That's a myth that has been spun wayy out of proportion. Atlantians are actually a bit like humans: but with perks.
  
  Atlantians as a race are humanoid in shape: head on top of shoulders, connected to arms and hands and a torso, which leads to two legs with feet. There are, however, distinguishing features about them as well. Oftentimes they are subtle, but they are there.
  
  Atlantians can, in fact, breathe underwater. Their realm is a lot more aquatic than ours, although the myths make much bigger statements than are true. They can also survive deep sea pressures, and can remain dry even while swimming. So, if you see someone without diving gear remaining underwater for an extensive amount of time, they are most likely from a different world.
  
  Atlantians are elementalists. If you see someone doing something out of the ordinary, such as making small animals out of flames, or causing flowers to sprout where they walk, they might be an Atlantian. Every member of the race inherits a special magic known as Starian Magic. This allows them to harness a specific aspect of nature, alongside their own energy-like magic.
  
  Atlantians are telepaths. If you are engaged in conversation with someone whose mouth does not move, but their voice rings loud and clear, chances are they are one of these special creatures. Their telepathy is so advanced that once they have established a mental "link" with someone, they can contact that person from anywhere. This telepathy allows Alantians to speak with animals and non-verbal creatures as well. This, too, is part of the Starian magic.
  
  Atlantians make potions. One thing that sets them apart from other concoctors (such as witches and witchdoctors) is that their potions are imbued with their own magic, and they drink it like water. The race's potions have been lovingly dubbed "Acid" for reasons unknown to humans. Each color "acid" has a different effect. For instance, Blue-Violet Acid replenishes Starian Energy, or Magic, and Green Acid is a quick-healing, weaker potion for wounds and sickness, while White Acid is a slower-healing, stronger version of the same.
