• Anatomical Profile

  An androgynous avian abomination might be one's first impression of Basel when in full regalia of his profession. The man was covered from head to toe in a black leather overcoat which wrapped tightly around the back of his head and billowed down to brush along the tops of his black leather boots. A featureless brown leather mask completely obscured his face from view aside from a brief glimpse of his eyes through the green-tinted glass which afforded him protection. The mask itself was the cause of his bird-like appearance, as an elongated nose piece-reminiscent of a beak-protruded absurdly from the center of his face. Add to this image an elegant black leather wide-brimmed hat, a pair of brown leather gloves, and a well polished, silver tipped black wood cane, and this apathetic apparition nearly cut a dashing figure. A brown leather bag was always found in his possession regardless of his current attire.
  
  At a casual glance, there really didn't seem much out of the ordinary with this human. He was fair in appearance and complexion, one could almost say handsome when factoring in his charm. His shaggy black hair was in a constant state of tousled, and the distance which often dwelt in his sky blue eyes raised questions as to the limits of his focus. Beneath his over coat, he typically wore a white long-sleeved shirt under a simply designed black and silver trimmed doublet, and pair of plain black trousers were bloused over his black leather boots. His brown leather gloves were generally exchanged for a fitted pair of black leather ones, while the aforementioned wide-brimmed hat and cane remained.

• Personal Profile

  

  Basel is a relatively easy going person, if a little odd. Being a physician, he has something of a preoccupation with most things average people consider morbid or ghoulish. His fervor and devotion towards his professions can verge on mania at times, especially when he believes he is close to reaching a ‘break through’ in his work. An alchemist at heart, Basel fancies himself a collector of rare and useful components for his concoctions. It is not unusual for him to ask for samples from unique creatures he encounters, and he typically keeps any equipment necessary for such a job in the brown leather bag kept ever at his side. About the only creatures he tends to avoid dealings with are devils, demons, and the undead.

  
  

  The remainder of his possessions consists of a large trunk (which contains his

  components, reagents, tools, and extra stock), several volumes of alchemy and anatomy books, a personal coded journal, and a few knickknacks he’s picked up along the way during his travels.
