  NAME(S) Омрын Любо́вь Царева-Антонова Shiva, Lyu, Eye, Beastie, эдьиий

  TITLE(S): UDAGAN KEEPER

  RACE: Aбаасы Abaahy (Aбаасы) are demons who were once human, said to have only one eye, arm and leg, though other variations have been described. They serve the Yakut god of the underworld, Arson-Duolai, taking human souls and giving them disease, famine, sexual manifestations and death in return. Abaahy are so ingrained in Sakha culture that when one describes something they dislike or hate, they say what literally translates as "to see abaahy". As a human Omryn was fairly ordinary, if not quite tall and well-built, and of Chukchi-Yakut descent. I'm not much one for face claims, but I'll direct you here for a reference

  POB / AGE: YAKUTIA Located in Russia and home to the so-called coldest city in the world, Yakutsk. It's known for its diamond, gold and tin mines and extreme climate alike, with temperatures as low as -90 F (-68 C) and occasionally as high as 101 F (38 C). It's home to most native Yakuts, a Turkic people who likely settled there in the 1200s. THIRTY-SEVEN They give no more information than "April 1st" as their birth date and will always state their age as "thirty-seven". They appear to have died in their late thirties before returning to the upper world as an abaahy. Their apparent age matches this.

  GENDER: QA CIKCHECA "Many of the Siberian tribes had third gender shamans, to the dismay and bewilderment of the civilized scholars who wrote about them with words like perversion. Chukchi shamans spoke about the terrible transformation of a man or woman into a "soft man". Some received the command and had to go along with it or be killed. It started with a change of appearance to that of the opposite sex, partially or entirely. The final phase had them changing their job roles in the tribe, taking on the tasks of their new gender, and marrying partners appropriate to their new role. No one who knows that the person in question is a spirit-worker should have any doubt that they are third-gendered in some way." It plays an extraordinarily large part in their witchery as well: "More detailed descriptions are to be found in the excellent modern works of Bogoras and Jochelson. Bogoras describes the facts relating to the Chukchee in a chapter on 'Sexual Perversion and Transformed Shamans'. 'The sexual organs play a part in certain shamanistic ceremonies,' says Bogoras. The shaman is said to be very often naked during his incantations, e.g. that used to invoke the moon, and to mention his genital parts. A woman [who has changed their sex is called] 'similar to a man' (qa cikcheca).

  
  
  

  EYE/SKIN: GREY/BROWN The abaahy has only one extremely narrow and slanted eye of a silvery-grey coloration. Their left eye socket is entirely empty and even without lids - it looks as if it's been chemically burned and is obviously beyond repair. Their skin is the fine line between olive and brown, a ruddy-bronze coloration that lends itself to tanning quickly and easily.

  HAIR: BLACK Falls a few inches past their shoulders, mostly straight and thick as horse hair. More often than not it's tied back or in a lazy bun.

  WEIGHT: 700 lbs (~317kg) Most of their weight comes from muscle - they are an extreme example of a mesomorph. Well-defined and thick, burly arms, shoulders, back and legs with just a bit of fat around their stomach. Their size puts them at a great advantage in their line of work. In accordance with their role as a shaman, they've undergone a rudimentary chest reconstruction, leaving their chest flat and masculine. Two large, discolored scars remain as the only reminder their breasts were ever there.

  CURRENT FORM:
  Humanoid abaahy, Male.
  
  KNOWN FORMS:
  In all forms their scars, tattoos, wounds and the like are still present. Other physical changes will be noted under "current form". They can shift incrementally between these forms as well.
  
  Human:
  Most rarely taken. A tall, athletic man or woman with no extra limbs or abnormalities to speak of with the exception of their teeth, which have been filed down to points, a bifid tongue and their chest.

  Humanoid abaahy:
  Most often taken. A literal giant with an unnaturally well-muscled build, four arms, sharp iron teeth, a glowing iris, pointy ears and a long, forked tongue. Their limbs are longer than most humanoid creatures' - whereas a human's fingertips generally reach mid-thigh, theirs reach their knees. Between this and their posture, this form's build is fairly apelike. The only difference between male and female in this form is their genitalia and occasionally the presence of a beard.

  Upper world abaahy:
  Sometimes taken. This is as far as the shapeshifter allows themselves to go in the so-called "upper world". Similar to the above form, but with varying numbers of limbs (usually four arms and one leg) and a more reptilian appearance. No hair, fur, or anything of the sort, but bears a metallic sheen to hardened skin - it almost appears to be scales on their spine, but upon closer inspection it's iron. Their iris and sclera both glow so brightly it's nearly painful to make eye contact. Mouth extends quite literally from pointy ear to ear, a seemingly-natural Glasgow grin. Not unlike a snake, they're capable of unhinging their jaw for larger prey - and quite like a komodo dragon, their rusty saliva carries septic pathogens.

  Lower world abaahy:
  Rumored to be as large as a mountain, with three heads, six arms, six legs, and made entirely of iron. Those more familiar with mythology will know this to be a description of the deity Alyp Khara Aat Mogoidoon, chief of the abaahy. Whether this also applies to Omryn or if it's simply a rumor is unknown.
  
  Feral creatures:
  Most often they take the form of a Kamchatka brown bear, Amur leopard, oriental shorthair, or a common raven, all of which hardly seem out of the ordinary.
  
  Sentient beings:
  With enough time to memorize someone's looks, the shaman can reproduce them at-will. The issue with this is that more often than not Omryn cannot commit every detail about someone to memory - unless they know the person in question quite intimately. These forms are very rarely utilized and take a lot of effort to hold.
  
  
  

  A brief history

  Between the Lena river and Laptev sea were many villages. This one in particular included a rather detached woman and her husband, an eccentric drunkard. The arrival of their first child was met with much enthusiasm on his part. She wanted nothing to do with it. He named her Omryn - "strong man" in his wife's native tongue- in hopes it would confuse evil spirits and keep them at bay. More children were had by the pair, but none quite as revered by their father as Omryn.
  
  From a young age she was raised differently than other girls, taught to throw spears, to hunt, that one day she would take a wife because it would please the spirits. They and his own distant wife were the only things her father cared for more than her. It was set in stone from the very beginning: she would be a shaman. A good one. The best one their lineage had seen. The spirits had demanded it - either young Omryn accepted or would be killed.
  
  Most of her father's time was spent between the young spirit worker and drinking until he passed out. And Omryn, the loyal child she was, so eager to please, would always care for him in these states. The other children were left to their own devices. Their roles weren't hard, he'd say, and their sister would keep bad spirits and occurrences at bay once she truly succeeded in her craft.
  
  This was not so. If anything, the eldest child brought chaos to the household, dividing family members. She terrorized them one moment in the spirits' names, making them vie for her attention and their favor the next. The only things she truly seemed to care for were her dogs and a small, furry horse. They were her only companions during the long weeks she had to spend away from the village as she got older. Every time she returned from these trips she seemed far different. A little more distant and wrathful, sometimes more apathetic and others, truly touched by the fear of life's inevitabilities. At her father's behest she pushed on. That was her responsibility: to make her family proud. One day, she thought, I'll be able to keep them safe no matter what.
  
  Even as her mother left them in favor of a man who claimed to be doing research on their people, she pushed on. Even as her father met his overdue demise on the sea shortly after, she pushed on.
  
  Even as they were told to leave or be killed, she did not give up. The spirits would surely bring them good fortune.
  
  And they did not.
  
  The remainder of her family was split up. Some siblings chose to leave - likely expiring in the unforgiving tundra - while a few chose to stay, just as she did. She had just returned from one of those trips, mind still fuzzy and unforgiving from the teas that allowed her access to the spirit world, only to see this going on. Military men took them all their separate ways, most of her family ushered further into the icy nothingness in the surrounding area. As more of them took to slaughtering her dogs and horse alike, sisters dragged off to be drowned in the river, she realized but one thing: she had failed them all.
  
  For what felt like the first time, Omryn finally made a choice on her own - no spirits, no papa, no nothing. She returned to their home and refused to leave. And the soldiers obliged her, more than happy to tie her to birch supports and light the whole thing ablaze.
  
  The spirits did one thing for her, though: they allowed her to come back.

  Much to no one's surprise, the stupid monster also has quite an interesting relationship with their sisters. It's not a very well-kept secret that they harbor romantic feelings for them, but since they avoid acting on them in the public eye, the whole 'scissor sisters' business could easily be mistaken for a rumor.

  Anything and everything. Humans are a favorite, as well as pears, candy, kumis, meat and milk.
  Omryn has a habit of eating uranium ore (somehow with no ill-effects) despite having no idea what it is.
  They also enjoy metals such as lead, copper and iron, but refuse to ingest, mine or even touch silver purer than galena.
  They're not very good at cooking and more often than not eat their food raw, cured or fermented.
  
  Prized Possessions:
  An old topsyr, kyryympa, khomus and dungur, usually reserved for incantations and rituals.
  Two evergreen pear trees from SE Asia which bear fruit towards the end of the year.
  An executioner's kilij, its hilt and scabbard alike made of gold with a variety of gems.
  One pair of carved walrus-ivory labrets they received from their first successful hunt at age fifteen.
  A variety of transformation masks for ritual use and warding off unwanted spirits.
  Two sets of (possibly charmed) ivory tiles - dominoes for pai gow and ma jiang pai for mahjong.
