Garrick Marlow

The young looking man stands at a height of 6'0". Silvery-white locks were cut short. Eyes were liquid mercury and held a painful past about them. He would wear casual peasants attire when not in his armor. Under his clothes and armor scars were littered everywhere. Some looked to be from blade, but others would seem foreign in the time and place he found himself. Each scar was silvery gray instead of a normal tone. These stood stark in contrast to his pale flesh.

His armor was a striking white metal with orange and blue decorative paint. Plate over chainmail, the armor was adorned by orange cape. The visor slit was a V allowing him decent vision. His belt and the crest of his helmet both had crystals of which he used to channel the Might of Eslah.

At his side was the holy sword Ethanmeil, the blade of Eslah's wrath.

Weaknesses: All forms of weapons and magics assuming they break his armor. Lost Memory: When he dies he loses skills and has to relearn them all over again. He also goes through a state of hell.Garrick is also compelled by the spirits to do their wishes. He cannot refuse and is forced into doing whatever action they deem need to be done. Even if this means giving up his life for it.


The Blade of Eslah: A holy sword that can be imbued with holy energy and also acts as his casting focus to cast his holy magic.


The Mark of the Spirits: Garrick's scars are unique. They are a pale silver instead of a red-skintone. If Garrick takes damage that wound begins to glow after (1) round post. The number goes up with the wound being more severe. The wound will heal, and this speed is determined by how bad the wound is. The wound however only becomes one of the many scars that Garrick has. His scars glow anything he heals, anytime he does any supernatural action. This gives him away. So he's not very stealthy as you'd imagine. The scars cause massive burning pain when they heal themselves. Garrick can lay his hands on someone and take their injury, it appears on him and thus inflicts the wound on him rather than the victim. The scars also glow is Gen is near a source of evil.


Soul-locked: Garrick's soul is locked to the spirit plane. The spirits are using him as their divine instrument and so he can not die. Garrick does physically die. Chop his head off, whatever he will die. But his soul is not in his body, so it cannot leave. So what does happen when he dies? His body will repair itself after a few days. His memories will be wiped meaning he will not remember who killed him, or how he died. He will however relive the moment that put him into servitude to the spirits. How he is responsible for the deaths of his family by being selfish. So, every death is like descending and moving out of hell.


Photographic reflex: If Garrick's seen it, he can do it. This only goes for what is physically possible for his body. He can't for example breath fire like a dragon since he doesn't have that physical capability. If he dies though he loses whatever skills he observed.


Enhanced Strength and Speed: Garrick's connection to the spirits give him enhanced speed and strength. He moves quick and hits hard in other words. He's still much slower than a vampire and weaker than a werewolf, but it closes the gap.


Power of Eslah - Allows him to produce various holy magics regarding Eslah and the spirits within.

Serving in the Great War (WWI), it should have been enough horror and grief for a million lifetimes. However when the war ended and the carnage subsided he had returned home to his loving wife The life of peace was hard on him, but he made it through. He worked as a bricklayer to see his family supported. One day returning from work he arrived only to find her murdered. Not only that but murdered by his fellow soldier. A private who he had caught trying to rob rations and supplies and defect from the army. Garrick had turned him in, and thought it would be enough. However, he hadn't exposed everything the private had done and because of that he was able to walk away with his life.

In turn for that life he arrived at the Marlows' Home. His wife and daughter tied to a chair and the monster responsible holding a lit lighter over the puddle of gasoline beneath their feet. Ever the war hero he rushed to stop the fiend but was too slow, or two weak. Engulfed in flames the Marlows and their killer all perished that day. Garrick finally found peace.

However this was not the case and he was sent back to a time of blade and magic - to serve as a holy vessel and a tool against evil. Perhaps it was retribution for failing his family or perhaps he was simply always chosen for this life regardless Garrick now is a Holy Paladin of Eslah. Doomed to forever rise back from the dead until the Holy Mission is complete. His past life a searing memory that pains him daily. A reminder of his greatest failure.
