• Description

  Michael doesn't really bother himself with the fact that he is the last living direct descendant of a legendarily amazing sorcerer. Or that his entire life has been influenced by divine spirits. For the most part, he cares about magic, studying and practicing by doing it himself, of course.

• Biography

  Once a powerful and influential aristocratic family, the Ambroseouses were the once proud descendants of the legendarily powerful sorcerer Olendras. However, time goes on, the family's bond with the royal family were cut and the members fizzled out. The final heir, Joshua, was outraged at discovering his lineage and sought to return the descendants of Olendras to their former glory. He married a noblewoman of Nenelon, and their first son Gabriel became the first Ambroseous born into aristocracy in centuries. Joshua, however, became a cruel father, baring a child for the sake of breeding and continuing his family line, and was swiftly unimpressed by Gabriel's unimpressive magical abilities. Thus, a second child was born, Rafael, and was everything his father wanted; an obedient son, and a gifted sorcerer. Gabriel was not abandoned, but practically forgotten. Abused.
  When Gabriel was seventeen and Rafael sixteen, a third was born, however, so was the fourth. Twins, the infamous unholy sign of an evil spirits condemning the family. The children, Michael and Lucifer, would be "missing", "ill at birth", according to their father, as soon as it was not too suspicious. While their mother did all she could to postpone their death, she too saw them as harbingers of a curse. After four years, however, Joshua grew impatient. The twins would be put to death and magical disease would be blamed. Once he overheard this, Gabriel decided he would not put up with his father's cruelty any longer, and ran away in the night with the twins. Alone in the night, the brothers were found by the protective spirit Kanorim, sent to guide them to safety in Nenelon.
  In spite of his desire to be rid of them, Joshua would not stand for disobedience, and sent Rafael after them with instruction to bring them home by any means necessary. Kanorim, however, was able to keep him from finding his brothers. Rafael was attempting pursuit when a dark spirit came to him, Kanorib, the hostile spirit of captivity, and agreed to aid him. By disguising as the kinder counterpart, Kanorib was able to find the brothers, and lead them directly to Rafael. Gabriel, knowing what his brother was going to do begged the spirit to take the twins and run, but Kanorib struck him down where he stood before Michael and Lucifer. Rafael fled in fear, realizing what he had brought upon his brothers. Kanorib was about to kill the twins when Kanorim appeared to defend them and ward off the evil counterpart, but Gabriel was already dead. Michael and Lucifer never saw nor heard of Rafael again. And once they reached Nenelon, they never looked back to their parents who gave up search after Gabriel died.
  Years later in the city, Michael and Lucifer were raised by the spirit, speaking the spiritual language and training in magic. Slowly over the years, Kanorim grew more and more distant from them allowing them to grow independent, until one day they noticed how long it had been since the spirit had last been seen.
  Shortly after, Lucifer similarly grew distant, and refused to tell his twin why. One day, when they were only eleven, he vanished completely. Michael would believe that he committed suicide.
