Who I am

  ...she went. Up to heaven. A tear of love came from my eye. I knew I did the right thing...but it has come at an awful price...
  
  My name is Vincent Chesser. I am a half human - half demon with free passage between hell and earth. Once a month I harvest souls for my father and Crowley. I call it my berserk mode.
  
  It doesn't matter who you are - I wouldn't be near me. As far as I know, this will be me until the end of time - perhaps in the end this was what hell had always wanted of me.
  
  In my spare time, I like to reread man's greatest works. Some of my top favorites are Hamlet, Othello, The Raven, and The Great Gatsby. I work a cushy travel job as a trucker for a well known fuel distributor. It works well because they allow me twelve days off a month so wherever I go. Gives me time to get as far away from the area I'm residing as I can before I go berserk.
  
  I keep to myself and keep to the road mostly. I used to relish in the money and women when I first got topside. It was fun for awhile until one or two ended up dead by my hand. Seems rescuing my mother has come at the price of eternal loneliness and two jobs I hate. Guess those are the breaks for Gods' fallen.
  
  But on the plus side, I have travelled all over the country. I've been able to work on several books. As a matter of fact, one is close to being published- fingers crossed.
  
  My brother has recently decided to play a game of stalking. He says he is waiting for the day I snap again and decide to no longer abide by my deal. He wants to be there to rip me to shreds I guess. Best brother I've ever had. He truly chooses the ugliest meat-suits. I'm not saying I'm Brad Pitt in his prime, but he typically looks like the dirtiest scumbag of the city and fresh out of the morgue. I suppose when your the product of thousands of baby souls barely past a day old before being tossed aside, you don't acquire a taste for the finer things in life.
  
  Action? Do I see action? Sure - sometimes I have to defend myself against hunters and other such beings. The Men of Letters were onto me for awhile. I torched their literature after I systematically dismembered them, naturally. I felt terrible about it for awhile. Angry even. Taking so many lives - but the truth of the matter is - if it saved my mother I would do it again. and again. Death - death isn't an option for me. That's the thing about disobeying the contract. They won't just end my life for that. They will put me in prison. And if you think hell itself is a prison - then try being in Hell's prison. If you could safely do it, would you ask Lucifer how he's been?
  
  There's obviously the idea of committing suicide and allowing the hunters to get me one day. I've thought about it. But as far as I know they can't kill me. At most they'll just exorcise me and send me back to hell. Which of course isn't a problem to me since I am half human with a free pass and I can just take the back alley through Purgatory anytime I want.
  
  And then there are the angels. Well - if they wanted me dead - they'd have come and gotten me by now. I am certainly not going to seek them out. That's a one way ticket to a painful way to go. That move may as well turn me into God's Sunday Comics. No, I'm good with that.
  
  So, I shoot and kill things. Burn a lot of stuff. Keep to myself. And read some Shakespeare.
