• Backstory

  Corryn was born in the Underworld. It was cruel and unforgiving, even to a child such as herself. Apart from the souls cursed to live an eternity in pain, there were demons. Among them, was Corryn's kind, the Arachne. A demon species overrun by females with very few males that were forced into submission to procreate and die at the hands of their mate. The brutality of the Arachne cultured was not limited to this. Once a spiderling turns thirteen, they a forced into a battle to the death amongst their peers. If there was more than one winner, determined by the elders of the Arachne, they would be forced to trek through the Underworld and back.
  
  In Corryn's case, she came out on top with her brother. Her twin brother no less. Her brother was merciful when it came to her but after killing so many of her peers and siblings to survive, she broke. She took his mercy as a weakness and slaughtered him with only one trail of thought in her mind: survive and kill. The Elders were surprised by the outcome. Sweet little Corryn, the one everyone bet on to die first, became a ruthless murderer. Still in the midst of her mind set, she began attacking the onlookers, tearing them to peaces until someone captured her in a cocoon and was banished by order of the Elders. For the next year, she spent the rest of her time in the void. It was pitch black, quiet, empty, but it smelled so bad. She spent a year alone in the blood soaked clothes she wore to slaughter her kin. Until one fateful day, a portal opened to her, and there, suspended in mid-air with a uniform and a letter.

  • Description(1): Spider silk manipulation can be used in a multitude of ways. One of the many ways it can be used is cocoons; cocoons can be created and used to temporarily immobilize an opponent or protect the caster. Spider silk is made of very strong components, due to the fact that Corryn is MUCH larger than the average spider, her spider silk is on par with steel rope and can be used as whips and/or binding tools.
  • Description(2): Spider summoning and spider control rely heavily on one another, one more so than the other. Spider summoning requires copious amounts of spider control, if one does not meet up to the the required amount, they cannot summon anything. Spider control allows a user to control up to thousands of spiders to do their bidding, however, Corryn can only control three at a time, ergo, she cannot summon anything just yet.
  • Drawbacks: If she tries to control way too many spiders than she can manage, they can easily take over her mind. Spider silk is drawn from their life energy. The more they have, the more they can generate, however, the average Arachne can only survive up to 30 years. Only the Elders, who have found the secret to nearly eternity can live longer than the expected life span.
  • Drawbacks cont.: Since Corryn is only 14, she can only generate less than half of the amount of spider silk an Arachne in its prime can generate before irrevocably killing herself.
