Jalsinter Forheri

Jalsinter was born into an otherwise privileged life intentionally scheduled to prepare him for a militaristic pursuits at his coming-of-age. Some who have met him will go so far as to say that it is the only life he knows, though that is not entirely true; in childhood he befriended another noble and his betrothed, Belgaer De Sommeil. Their time together was filled with mischievous escapades, cut short by the demands from both of their families to focus on their separate futures. They remained friends but largely had to correspond through letters and other means.

Alas, this knight was not there when his childhood friend passed, nor was he aware of the despair this left Belgaer in. He was separated from his home and early life after a merciless attempted coup by a local cult who believed his family was their god's greatest obstacle. Forced to flee from his home, the man spent years alone, hunting those that spilled the blood of his kin until the organization disbanded. Then he returned home to find that retribution mattered little in the eyes of the nobility; his home sacked, properties destroyed or redistributed and wealth mostly lost made him noble only in title. Jal was embittered and lost, turning to more artistic pursuits as he tried to make himself a new life. Trying to contact his old friend was especially difficult; letters were intercepted, his visits interrupted by conspiracies from other lords to keep him away.

Without luck, he turned to working for others; with rune-crafting as his specialty, perhaps he could readjust to living amongst others after all?
