• Gear and Equipment

  Weapons

  - Inix Fabrications PX-9 Gatlock Pistol, based on the Kessar Fabrications Gatlock AB-9S Pistol - Sergei's pistol was created especially for him. It is based off a discontinued model that he used to use. This pistol has a laser sight that is calibrated so that only he can see it when he switches to his infrared vision and a flashlight. There are multiple modifications to the pistol made by Sergei, including a silencer, stabilisation and power enhancement modules. Sergei's pistol is insulated to avoid freezing if in space or other cold climates, meaning it can operate at complete efficiency even in space. Due to the pistol being a rail gun, the noise of the gun firing is mostly quiet anyway, except for the supersonic boom from the bullet itself upon breaching the sound barrier, but the velocity of the bullet can be reduced when in silenced mode, making it near silent, but not perfectly silent as there is still a slight rattling sound of the bullet moving down the rails.
  Sergei's pistol has a holographic interface in built in it. Sergei can turn this on and off by a switch on the side. When the pistol detects the heat of a hand on the pistol grip, if not disabled a small holographic panel is projected above the sights of the pistol. The holographic interface displays a target reticule and if there are any matches in the database stored in Sergei's Mobicomm device, it will notify him of a match. On the side of Sergei's pistol, a holographic panel displays the ammunition left in the pistol and it will glow red when there is very little ammunition left.
  Sergei's pistol is a railgun and fires by the magnetic rails pulling the projectile down the barrel. Sergei can turn his silencer setting on and off by using the holographic display, although he rarely does this.
  - Aeger TS20 Marksman Rifle - Sergei tends to use this rifle if he is taking out guards protecting the place he is infiltrating. He will usually take a position with his sniper rifle, eliminate the targets and then leave the rifle while he enters the building, collecting the rifle after he has completed his mission. His sniper rifle has infrared view with a distance of 1.5 miles and is silenced to avoid detection.
  - Combat Telescope Baton - Sergei often carries two telescope batons strapped to his lower back. Due to Sergei's training in Kali, he is quite proficient at using these weapons, making him a formidable opponent.
  - MG-6 Stun Pistol - Sergei occasionally uses this stun pistol when he's on a mission to take someone alive. He does not carry this weapon all the time, only when he is on a mission to take someone alive. This stun gun fires a low velocity projectile with a very low range that sticks to the opponent, delivering electric shocks through the body to incapacitate them.
  - Grenades- Sometimes Sergei will carry a grenade or two if he is infiltrating somewhere. He tends to use flashbangs, stun grenades, EMP grenades and smoke grenades the most, but will occasionally use frag grenades on less stealthy missions.
  - Karambit- Sergei carries this curved knife in a pouch on his vest and he is trained in using it, meaning he can take advantage of its curved shape to create devastating cutting, ripping and tearing wounds. There is a hole at the top of the handle that is used to spin the blade to make it even more lethal and versatile.
  

  
  

  Armour

  - Reactive Biosteel Combat Vest - Sergei wears a Biosteel combat vest with a layer of Non-Newtonian liquid inside to make the armour tough to penetrate. The armour will likely withstand a couple of shots of a pistol at medium range and at close range one shot might not penetrate the armour itself, but it would probably cause such an impact that it would break some of Sergei's ribs. A rifle would penetrate the armour more readily, meaning that it would provide very little protection. The armour only covers Sergei's torso, meaning that head shots, leg shots and arm shots will still be just as dangerous to him.
  
  

  
  

  Other Gear

  - Mobicomm Technologies Icarus Wrist Device - Mobicomm originally developed mobile devices that were attached to the arm. These use a regular touch screen that expand into a holographic control to allow for greater control. The Icarus uses the basic template of a civilian model, having features such as message monitoring, voice and video calls, etc. but also utilises military features such as a connection to weapons, monitoring health/augmentations and even displaying recent missions and objectives.
  - Mobicomm Technologies Project Sentinel - The Sentinel is a pair of sunglasses (shades) that project a heads up display to show where priority mission objectives are, the status of his augmentations and even telling him that he has an incoming message. Sergei does not wear these all the time, but even when he isn't on a mission, he likes to wear them. Sergei can utilise these to display various details about his augmentations and weapons, i.e. Ammunition.
  - Torch/Flashlight - Sergei always carries a torch/flashlight around with him in case he is in dark places, this is kept on an inside pocket of his jacket.
  - Bugs - Sergei carries bugs to plant on his targets. These bugs have a remote link to his Mobicomm and when he wants to, he can make them consume themselves to avoid detection.
  The bugs have an unassisted range of 10 miles, but when it is out of range, the bug will covertly hijack other systems, such as the computer terminals, in order to pass the signal across. This will be sent to the nearest transmission point and then sent to Sergei's Mobicomm. This can be risky as it can be intercepted by others. These bugs are sound and video, but are not always used for both.
  
  

  
  

  Medicine

  - Kerotaphillin - This drug protects the internal organs from damage from the nanites and makes it so the body is not recognised as a target by them. This has to be taken every 24 hours. If he does not take this every 24 hours, the nanites will slowly degrade his internal organs, causing lots of negative effects and eventually killing him.
  - Cyclosporine - Due to the augmentations in his body, there is a chance of rejection, so Sergei has to take this drug every 12 hours to prevent rejection. This lowers Sergei's immune system, but this isn't a problem as Sergei's nanites take over the job. If Sergei fails to take this in time, after around 24 hours, his immune system will take over and start to attack his nanites and augmentations, this means he may end up getting major infections, blood clots or other negative effects and eventually killing him.
  - Nanites - Sergei's nanites will get damaged or die off regularly so these nanites need to be replenished with a new supply. This has to be taken every 24 hours. If Sergei fails to take this, it will be as though he has no immune system, so he will likely get a large amount of negative effects. In this state, the common cold could kill him.
  
  

• Augmentations

  Neural Interface

  - Within Sergei's brain there is a neural implant that picks up commands from his brain, making it possible for him to control his implants with his mind or to interface with computer systems for minor commands such as artificial reality. This does not mean that Sergei's brain can be hacked, but if the neural implant is overloaded, it will shut down temporarily, making his implants unable to control. Although the implants can be controlled by his Neural Interface, there are safeguards in place to make it so if the neural implant is inactive, his body won't shut down.

  
  

  Nano-Muscle Fibres

  - The Nano-muscle fibres use special fibres that are weaved into his muscles and an implant to detect when the muscle is going to be used. The implant then sends an electrical current down the nanofibres, causing them to tense up, increasing the strength of the user. Due to the nanofibres, he can also move faster due to the nanofibres sending the signal to activate quicker.

  
  

  Ocular Implant

  - The Ocular implant is linked with an implant in his brain that detects which mode he wants to use. There are three modes, Ultraviolet, Infrared and Normal vision. Due to his Ocular implant, he is able to focus in on things at a long distance away and see it in relatively good detail, meaning he could identify if someone has a weapon from some distance, giving him sight much like a bird of prey. This focus feature can pose a problem as it means that it takes a little time for Sergei to focus from long range to short range, meaning that if he is suddenly taken unaware at short distance, he could end up not seeing in detail for second or so.

  
  

  Cochlear Implant

  The Cochlear implant has two functions, patching audio transmissions into Sergei's head and also allowing him to amplify sound when he wants to, to hear quieter sounds more clearly. Sergei has to be careful using these, not doing it when there could be an unexpected loud noise or he may end up passing out from the loud sound.

  
  

  Durability Implants

  - Invisible nanofibres are weaved into his skin, making it tougher so it can withstand more abuse before being damaged. It couldn't withstand a cut from a knife or a gunshot, but it makes it harder to get injured from other means such as melee combat.

  
  

  Nano-Fibre Grafting

  - A net of neural fibres are implanted throughout his brain and nervous system. This allows for a quicker transmission of the electrical signals throughout the body and within the brain, providing a quicker reaction time both mentally and physically when reacting with his nerve fibre grafts.

  
  

  Nerve Fibre Grafting

  Sergei's Neuro-Fibre's extend down to the nerves, improving his reaction speed by using a particle that moves faster than the speed of light to control the signals that go to the brain.

  
  

  Autonomous Defibrillator

  - Upon the heart stopping, the Autonomous Defibrillator kicks in, sending an electrical current through the heart to restart it.

  
  

  Shock Absorbant Joints

  - Within each of Sergei's joints there is a fluid that absorbs the force of a blow, meaning that he can punch things with more resistance before his joints get damaged and most importantly that he can fall from a higher height before getting hurt by the fall. This does not make much of a difference, but with Sergei's extra augmentations, this is necessary to avoid constant injury.

  
  

  Lung Implant

  - Within Sergei's lungs are implants that purify the air if it is toxic or hard to breathe in. This means that if there is a poison gas or anaesthetic gas, it will take longer to affect Sergei, giving him a few extra seconds to react

  
  

  Nanobots

  - Within Sergei's blood there are nanobots that replace his immune system, making him more resistant to disease and infection. These nanobots also make it so that if a drug or poison is introduced into his bloodstream, it will take longer to take effect. The nanites also act as a passive regeneration system, increasing his healing factor, but not enough to make him instantly heal wounds such as gunshots and knife wounds. The nanobots also maintain the augmentations, keeping them from rejecting or getting damaged. Nanobots die off so they need to be replenished regularly.

• Personality

  Sergei is very Cryptic and Enigmatic. He constantly hides his true motives and intentions, making him extremely good at deceiving people. He is very cynical and sarcastic, not tolerating disrespect from anyone. He is known for holding grudges for a long time and he is very good at finding a way to get revenge on someone who has crossed him. Sergei is very patient and will wait a long time to get revenge if he has to, making him very dangerous.
  
  Sergei is very good at manipulating people without their knowledge and does anything to achieve his goals. He is a very private man who views emotional displays as weakness. He is adept at hiding his true thoughts and feelings from people, making him appear cold and callous. Sergei is very independant and doesn't like to work with others as he feels they get in his way. Sergei tends to lurk in the shadows a lot, calculating tactics and methods of attack.
  
  Due to his paranoia, when he enters a room, he always looks for exits and analyses anything he could use as a weapon or for cover if he needs to. He will rarely turn his back on anyone as he doesn't want to leave himself vulnerable.
  
  Sergei is very decisive and when faced with a hard choice, he will weigh the options and make the choice very quickly.
  
  Despite anticipating attack from people, he is not easily startled. Although he doesn't admit it, he enjoys seeing others suffer and rarely cares if anyone he knows suffers. There are very few people he cares about.
  
  Due to Sergei's pro-human leanings, he doesn't tend to like non-humans much unless they impress him. He expects all non-humans to impress him first.

• Appearance

  Upon first glance this Russian appeared to be a normal civilian, but on closer inspection the assumption was proven wrong by the pistol holstered on his upper thigh rather than crudely pushed down his trousers. Sergei fit the rugged and handsome stereotype well with a five o'clock shadow and chiselled features. His eyes were a strange orange colour that showed hints that they were not quite organic but were often covered by shades anyway. Sergei was adorned in a black t-shirt, then his Reactive Biosteel combat vest covered by his black leather knee length jacket. The upper quarter of his jacket had a faded grey pattern that looked almost tribal. In addition to his jacket, he also wore black cargo pants and ankle high boots made for running. Sergei often wore black leather gloves to keep his fingerprints off anything he touched and a wrist device that projected a holographic screen for interaction, having much of the same features as a 21st century cell phone. Strapped to his lower back, but covered by his jacket were two telescope batons that he used in close quarters combat.
