  A little of the past: :
  
  Yukora Dragonheart was born in a dimension that was always at war and whose land masses were broken into warring Lords' domains. Yukora's father was one of the most twisted and ruthless men and had the land to show for it. Terrified slaves and even the 'better breeds' obeyed his every whim, no matter how mad or outlandish it was. Mother was one of a few breeding slaves but was the only one to bear children that pleased Father. Yukora and her twin brother Kai were always together as they grew up until they were near their thirteenth year (as it goes for a human, that is). Father took an interest in Kai and Kai's blood had been much shed and his flesh much marked at their father's pleasure.
  
  Many years Yukora had found escape. An escape from the madness, the violence, the pain, the was... The escape came in the form of a dimensional tear. She bothered not to investigate but, instead, stole the innocent and abused brothers- both half and whole siblings from their now dead mother- and her tortured twin and escaped, assuming forms that blended with the locals. Surviving... and for the first time experiencing true freedom. Experiencing the joy of first love and the pain of happiness shattered. Ultimately after becoming ill they realized that in this world they must consume blood or mass amounts of red meat, something in this world lacking from their home world. They found the stories of vampires intriguing and took to it. Truly Yukora and brothers have an allergy to redwood though they have fun in faking reactions to sunlight. Some of her brothers were as true 'monsters' in this new world, unable to focus their shape-shifting gifts or simply not having enough of the gift to make much change...
