Raine is not the sweet little girl her youngest elder sister is, nor is she the stoic slate of concrete that her eldest sister is. Though a bit of a cynic, Raine does care, even if her way of showing it includes name calling or an eye roll and a lecture about the dangers of being a dumbass. In extreme instances of stupidity, perhaps even a slap on the back of the head. She, as her brother did, inherited the Armstrong strength, and frequently uses that for her own amusement and even to show off some. She is proud of her Armstrong lineage, but doesn't typically ramble on in spiels about the traits passed down the Armstrong line for generations as her father and brother do. She will, however, drop more subtle lines regarding her well-known blood line.

Raine choose the life of a soldier over the life of a housewife at a very early age. At four, she told her family that she wanted to be a soldier. She began her training at that age, and at six, she asked her elder brother, Alex, to teach her alchemy. She traded her guns and swords in for transmutation circles and found her alchemic calling in manipulating the elements in the human body. Raine is not the perfect soldier by any means, but her lineage has bred her to be a damn good one. Firearms, while trained to use them, are not her strong suit. The Armstrong strength was indeed passed down to her, making her particularly talented in hand-to-hand combat; this is useful given her special brand of alchemy requires her to be up close and personal with her targets. She is a loyal soldier until the situation deems "treasonous" action is required.
