History

  • Biography

    My father was a tiefling and my mother was a human. Due to the nature of my fiendish blood, my birth was slightly complicated and I ended up being born in the home of the local healer who acted as a midwife. I had a modest upbringing, living near the outskirts of town in a large home. Growing up I had many friends and I was generally happy during my childhood. My father had given me a basic education which whetted my appetite for knowledge, and, when I was grown, I left home to build on what I had learned. During my travels, I stumbled upon some ruins containing an old tomb. After exploring I found an old spellbook. I was immediately driven to learn all I could about becoming a wizard. In the town where I studied the arcane arts, I met someone of importance. A half-elf who used to be a bard and is now a merchant. We bacame friends as he whetted my appetite for knowledge with stories of his past and I supported and endorsed his shop. Last time I visited him he was alive and well, and I hope that is still the case. One day, while out on the town, I made an enemy of an adventurer. I could tell this human was evil and I'm not exactly sure what I did to cause this rift, but he now holds a grudge against me. I believe he belonged to one of the local thieves guilds and, to my knowledge, he is still alive and well. Probably thinking of ways he'll kill me.

      When you attempt to learn or recall a piece of lore, if you do not know that information, you often know where and from whom you can obtain it. Usually, this information comes from a library, scriptorium, university, or a sage or other learned person or creature. Your DM might rule that the knowledge you seek is secreted away in an almost inaccessible place, or that it simply cannot be found. Unearthing the deepest secrets of the multiverse can require an adventure or even a whole campaign.
