  Feng Sichou was born into a higher class family of Taigoria. Her parents were both Peryton, a rare species amongst the Taigorian people. Sichou's purebred lineage and wealthy status brought her to the eyes of many suitors,
  many long before she was old enough to take an interest in any sort of man. It was the dowry of Koji Tsang,
  a ram that was nearly three times her senior, that the Feng family finally accepted. Sichou had been conditioned never to debate her Father, and in this situation that did not falter. At the ripe age of nineteen, Sichou donned a crimson wedding dress and gave herself over to Tsang. Throughout the ceremony, Sichou kept her composure. Her family was happy, and her husband would be happy. Tsang boasted that his new young wife would bare many sons for him. He deeply believed Sichou would be a blessing to him. Sichou felt dread hit her like a blow to the stomach. She could not tell him she could not carry his children; it would bring disgrace unto her family name. Tsang took Sichou home as the ceremony ended that evening, intending to consummate the marriage as soon as possible. Sichou was left alone in her new marriage bed while Tsang left to prepare himself, and it was in this moment that the Peryton lost herself.
  
  Panicking, still in her wedding dress, Sichou threw open the window and climbed out. She took to the skies,
  flying as far as she could with tears in her eyes. When her sight was too terrible for her to see anymore, she landed,
  collapsing to her knees on a muddy riverbank. She knew she could never go back to her family, they would disown her the instant they saw her. Nor could she submit herself to a life of misery under Tsang. It was then that she began to pray to Tian, begging for some guidance, some form of escape. It took a while for her crying to subside, her prayers growing louder as they did. When she finally wiped her eyes, blurry ambers found themselves locked on an extended hand. Sichou looked up and found herself staring into the eyes of Tian; jade eyes, beheld in the glorious face of a Dapple Stag. She had never seen such eyes. Her heart thumped in her throat, her soul lifted, and in that instant, Sichou knew. This was the answer. Yu Huang stood before her and he would not be denied. No words passed. No words were needed. Sichou reached out, setting her hand - and every ounce of trust she harbored - into his. Stoic, the Stag pulled her to her feet and led her away.

  
  My Lord, my Savior. I would lay down my life for Him. It was a prayer that brought Him to me when my life was at its lowest point. I knew the instant I laid my eyes upon His that He was no mere stag; He was Yu Huang. When He held out His hand, I took it, and I never looked back. Five years have come and gone under His rule, and I would not give my collar up for all the coin in the universe. I am His, utterly devoted to His might, bound to Him by my very soul. I pray to Him every night, at His shrine that sits at the foot of my bed.
