• A Moment's Study

  Kahlay is a hybrid of indeterminate origin; there are clearly touches of lapine and cat, as evidenced by her overlong triangular ears and her rounded muzzle but the two striped tentacles sprouting from the back of her head distinguish her as something a little different. She's covered almost entirely in tawny sand-colored fur, save for some highlights of mauve interwoven in her cropped hair. Her eyes are bright green, as is the cracked gem that's set directly into her forehead.
  
  She's petite, just a hair under five foot, but her build is hard to discern under the white robe draped over her body. Of interest is the missing forelimb just below her right elbow, the stump neatly bound with a white bandage. Cinched around her waist is a plain black leather belt with a coin purse tied at the side and looped over her back is a round metal parchment tube tied with a strap. Her outfit, in conjunction with her fastidious if inornate grooming habits, imparts an air of sexless formality, almost priest-like in it's simplicity.

  Kahlay appreciates order, neatness and clear distinctions. Tends to fall back on her lifetime as a servant: polite, formal and deliberate with her speech. She's at her most confident when engaged in the expected behaviors accorded to her stolen occupation and rapidly drifts towards discomfort when talking on any intimate level. Having taken another's identity and become deeply invested in maintaining the charade, she struggles with depersonalization and bouts of paranoia. Subconsciously craves honest conversation but is held back by fundamental trust issues.
