  She is certainly a beauty, with sparkling eyes and an intoxicating smile by turns innocent, mischievous, and wicked, her every movement brimming with enthusiasm and life. But that is not what brings the guests to Vivian's parlor. An ornately carved crossbow gleamed darkly in the candlelight, its wood polished from years of regular use and stained with blood. There is a confidence, even arrogance in her walk, half swagger half sway, her cocky manner, her nerve. She chats with a hungry vampire, smells like blood, cuts herself to give him a taste of what he could win if he plays the game well. Black as night, and so strong in smell that a human could sniff it out from across the room, alive and writhing of its own volition. "Not yet, my dear! You will have to catch me first! We can't have you ruining the thrill of the chase."
  
  Lady Whent: madwoman, ex-vampire hunter, alchemist, homunculus, possible eldritch abomination. Mad, bad, and dangerous to know. This is a woman who invites hungry vampires into her home for a friendly chase, for fun. The possibility of losing simply does not concern her, not when she's downed an elixir of temporary immortality beforehand. Injury only makes the game more exciting, more difficult, more thrilling. And the possibility of being drained? Do keep from staining the upholstery, dears. Good times!
  
  But her vampire-hunting persona is only part of her personality. She is an abomination, in truth, with lovecraftian attributes and blood knight tendencies. Once already has she thrown off the shackles of slavery, and has no intent to be forced into servitude again. Vivian has determined her own purpose. Fight. Fight and determine the strongest. Become the strongest, for eternity is hers, an endless promise of pleasure and battle. With her ferocity, disregard for pain, and power, she would make a terrifying and fearsome creature if not for a terrible weakness imposed by her father.

• Demeanor and Character

  • Smug Super: She is extremely proud of her status as a lovecraftian abomination, viewing herself as an extension of the "Great Old Ones", and enjoys showing off her abilities and having people in awe of her. Of her vampire-hunting past and skills at that craft, not to much, associating it with slavery and her detested "father". She considers herself a superior being to humans and creatures such as vampires and lycans that were once humans.
  • Blue and Orange Morality: Vivian sees the world as a kill-or-be-killed place, both because her long time occupation and the ruthless, war-torn nature of her father's home dimension. Thus, she has no compunction about killing those who mean to kill her, no remorse. She will also kill anyone who attempts to enslave her. To her credit however, Vivian does not go out of her way to kill when she fights for sport. She can modulate her kill or be killed worldview well enough to function in a group.
  • Skilled but Naive/Immortal Immaturity: Vivian, as a slave, never had the opportunity to explore the world or come to know herself and mature. As a result she is rebellious, hedonistic, impulsive, and blind to consequences.
  • Red Oni: Hot-blooded, impulsive, tends to throw herself into very dangerous situations without thinking about the consequences, and so is easily manipulated by Blue Oni characters. She is neither calculating nor reserved, and wears her heart on her sleeve.
  • Ex Vampire Hunter: Having been engineered and trained to gather vampiric blood, Vivian is unsurprisingly an extremely skilled and dangerous vampire slayer.
  • Glass Canon: An interesting case. In her abomination form, Vivian possesses both powerful strengths and crippling weaknesses. At her most powerful - specifically, with her fortifying elixir and in a level 2 blood rage - Vivian is extremely dangerous one on one. She seems nearly unbeatable and gladly bluffs that she is, but in fact possesses crippling weaknesses that can be used to reduce her to utter helplessness, a sealed badass in a can. a sealed badass in a can. She is very much aware of her weaknesses, and for the past decade has been systematically destroying all evidence of their existence, specifically any Tomes of Eldritch Lore she knows of. As a homunculus, she can be placed in a pitiful state through the denial of her addiction to her elixir.
  • Defeat Means Respect: As much as Vivian despises being enslaved while weak, she will respect and willingly follow anyone who can defeat her at her strongest, presenting brute force as an option.

  • Blood Knight: She is drawn to challenge and danger, not repulsed by it, and will thus willingly - and enthusiastically - run guns blazing into extremely dangerous situations others would not intervene in.

  • Broken Bird: Vivian spent most of her life as a slave, in a miserable state and cannot stand the idea of being put into bondage again. A return to slavery drives her to such despair that she, despite her overpowering fear of death, would rather commit suicide.

  • Sealed Badass in a Can: With the right know how, Vivian can be sealed into an artifact and rendered utterly helpless. This means that she can be sealed into a piece of jewelry and used as a protective summon, even smuggled into specific locations. If she is imprisoned against her will, Vivian will seethe with hatred and kill whomever imprisoned her if she is ever released, or if the artifact holding her is broken.
