    When Acantha was 16, her father, a large, high tempered man came home drunk and raped her, beating her to the edge of consciousness in the process. Afterwards, she was locked in the room for about a year and a half with abysmal nutrition, explaining her slight visage; her father continuing to abuse and rape her and remain almost-constantly drunk. Until the day of her 18th birthday, her father, deep in gambling debts, sold her to an underground slaving society. 6 months later, she was still sitting in the small cage, cowering in the corner, waiting to be sold at the upcoming showcase. No one, not even her, knew of her lineage, nor her abilities. Her mother was Nyx, the goddess of night.
