Logan grew up poor, a reality that stays with him like rot. He made it to college by being a sugar baby and still wonders if it was really worth it for a short-lived career as an art therapy major. Although his arrival was unanticipated, Natalie Alvarez did her best to raise Logan as a single mother, working nights in a brothel and during the daytime trying to bring visibility to sex-workers through her zine.
Just barely turned 22, Logan was severely injured in an accident. The classmates he'd been with threw his unconscious body into the river and spread rumours at their college about what had happened to him, giving rise to something of an urban legend surrounding unexplained events since his disappearance.
Logan tries to break away from his difficult past through painting, to get out feelings he's never fully been able to express, at least not in a healthy way. His patience for unlife withers with the realisation that many of his vices—substances, pain—can no longer affect him. That doesn't mean Logan is hopeless, though, instead grabbing his newfound liberty by the balls to raise whatever hell he can to get his kicks.
Natalie doesn't know that her son is dead (it's unlikely Logan's father even knows he was born), most of his peers don't either—let alone that he's back, baby. Logan keeps a low profile, not so much as to avoid exposing the supernatural community as to seize the opportunity of a second chance. Death is just another chapter in Logan's story and he plans for it to be a fucking good one.
