Name: 'Ex'xys.' ( EX - SIS ) ***
'Night' in his originating language. Name origin: Given to him by the Goddess Life, to portray his true character. His 'birth name' is spoken in incoherent variants to commoners; thus, he refers to himself as 'Ex,' or 'Night.' Nickname(s): "My blessed nightmare..." Origin: Affectionate term given to him by his ex-lover. ***
He detests his nickname, or being called any 'pet' names. Birth date: Unknown. Place of birth: Unknown. ***
Though unspoken, his creation occurred on Plane IV, a 'world' existent even beyond Hell. Species: Deity/Vars'ae, though presently he appears as an anthromorphic canine with odd coloration. ***
Note: Vars'ae is a race that I created for my character ONLY. More will be explained in various parts of his site and with time. Essentially, a Vars'ae is a creature born from, and of, Darkness. They are creatures of volatile will and unhindered passion for discord. They feed on sheer emotion and 'lessers' strive to cause disharmony in order to fuel existence on their Plane (IV). They are not considered demons, nor sprites of any kind. They take form of many different species and are similar to succubi and incubi in their ability to manipulate through emotion and physical means. They receive energy and profit from the darkness; they strive in the latter hours, much like vampires. They can venture into the light however, and do so often. ***
** His physical form is similar to that of Anubis, albeit with wings. Age: Unapparent, but he has existed since Time itself. ***
Apparent age: Physique resembles peak age; early to mid-life; human equivalent is roughly 30 years. |
Height: 6'8". Weight: 380lbs, roughly 290 without wings. Current occupation: Slave trader, energy/mana supplier. Education: Given years of adaptation and growth, Night is incredibly intelligent, though he often keeps knowledge to himself on most matters of importance. Sexuality: Heterosexual, though he will still take in male slaves for various purposes unrelated to sexual interaction. Marital status: Unlikely. Significant previous relationships: Obsessed with the beauty Life possessed, he became entirely infatuated with her. The melancholy in which he would dwell dissipated upon her arrival into his life. Decades, centuries, eons: nothing compared to what she gave him - she fueled his momentum, his very energy changed upon her approach. How did they meet?
The two were brought together on the plane of 'Middle Existence' when another deity Ascended and his role needed a successor. A meeting of the highest authority coincided to decide who's experience would fit the rule as leader of this particular 'Plane.' Life and Darkness were thus brought together and their story began... Children: Nightmare, surprisingly, does have children. He has six offspring ruling his 'Plane' in his stead; whilst he's banished to 'Middle Plane,' his beloveds maintain his hearth. |
Body type: Strong and athletic, a warrior's build. In a battle, he'd like to be front lines. Eye color: Eye color ranges from a deep, sensual crimson to a devilish black. The color changes as his inner power fluctuates; this generally occurs when he is mad, or aroused. Hairstyle: Long, unkempt bangs that graciously kiss the top of lightly manicured brows. His hair reaches the base of his biceps and he will often keep it haphazard in a bun; though he aims for comforts his chambermaids dote and faun, so it is often there appear golden accessories to denote wealth strewn about velveteen tresses. Natural hair texture: Exceptionally soft; almost unbelievably so. Natural hair color: A shocking, effervescent opal hue. Though it isn't enchanted, given certain lighting arrangements, it almost appears ethereal. Pelt color: He is a deep, mystifying black. There is a subtle aura that surrounds him whilst in combat, or intimate encounters. It is not necessarily a shadow, nor a 'tangible' substance. It isn't entirely existent on 'Middle Plane,' though given enough power, it can materialize. |
Prominent features: Physique is littered with scars, though the most noticeable are those on his neck and face. A single, ragged scar lines his right cheek, just accentuating the masculinity of his chin. The one on his neck appears as if it could have been fatal, almost connecting to the one on his face. Distinguishing characteristic(s): He sports two valiant, angelic-looking wings. It appears they are originally black upon first glance. However, further inspection would show that they are not originally said color and perhaps might have been white at some point. Origin
Origin: His wings originally belonged to an angel, or a servant of Life. The servant had become exceedingly close to his ex-lover, so much so that their hours together dwindled because of this outside connection. Life herself doted on this particular cherub, causing Nightmare to become furious, and more so as time went on. The feelings she poured into him slowly diminished. One day, in an act of jealous rage, Night brutally murdered said seraphim, ripping the wings from his back with his bare claws. Bloody and crazed, he infused them into his spine with the power of darkness that he possessed. Upon meeting Life, where she learned what he'd done, he proclaimed: "Am I far enough into the light for you now?" Face shape: Chiseled, sophisticated; high cheekbones, strong jawline. Long muzzle, canine-esque. General health: Health is exceptional, though power is restrained from its full capacity. Chronic conditions: Though no conditions are outwardly present, he is prone to excessive bouts of rage where he is almost completely blind to his surroundings. Attire: Generally simplistic; he can often be found bare-chested with a simple fine golden sash lazy splayed across his shoulders to denote 'authority' (though this is an old world custom only he adheres to). He adorns himself in a finely woven loincloth, its colors generally a cashmere black, or silken gold & black. He wears Grecian sandals that lace up his calves. ***
Often he dresses for comfort, though there are times when he garbs himself in exceptionally fine attire. This is generally to contract business, or to impress. Though if you impress him enough, you're likely to see him in nothing. |
