Elemental manipulation: Ex is, obviously, capable of manipulating darkness to his whim. This ability includes, but is not limited to: creating tangible 'weapons,' or any object that he deems fit for what he's currently doing. Manipulating darkness to create a weapon, or to imbue a weapon, would add that particular attribute to the weapon. Darkness can be manipulated into a poison that infects Night's opponents when struck with that particular weapon. It causes paralysis, though it is often not fatal and generally serves as a 'bide' for time in sticky situations. This particular ability is used in multiple ways as well; over time, he was taught to manipulate fire to an extent and can now create extremely hot black and blue flames. ***
Given the non-fatal nature of the dark poison, Ex has found a way to utilize it in a more intimate manner as a restraint. It is also used regularly to punish servants; to bind them should they retaliate. Creatures with intense healing magic would not suffer prolonged paralysis when encountering this poison. Hell's Wall: Given his extreme control over darkness and the limited ability to manipulate fire, Nightmare has perfected the two into a single attack, or 'stop' for extreme situations where he needs a powerful spell to deter, or impair an opponent momentarily. Often, using both hands and mental prowess, he unearths a burning wall of darkness. It is thick and impenetrable by normal means. Flesh, nor any form of metal can cross through the wall. If hit directly (though he rarely uses these two as a direct attack) one would suffer an incredible amount of damage. ***
This spell would consume heavy amounts of energy and would rarely be used in a normal encounter. This a primarily defensive spell and would essentially be used as an escape, or potentially a last resort. It is extremely difficult to 'aim' this particular magick. Sky Fire: Using dark energy to propel him upwards, Ex will rise into the air and create small balls of fire and darkness. He will launch them, and can do so with exceptional speed and precision. These particular projectiles do minimal damage and are subject to burning whatever they hit. There is also a small chance his enemy will be poisoned by the darkness, though as mentioned the effects are generally minimal. |
Telepathy: Given the nature of his species, he possess innate telepathy that he uses often. Generally he will approach anyone with a gentle mind prod, but has slowly learned overtime that such is often unacceptable and unwelcomed. He also possesses the ability to completely secure his thoughts from mages, or any other creatures of magic descent. ***
To willing participants, Ex has found a way to manipulate his telepathy into a stimulant, and will use it to trigger certain parts of others' physique. Telekinesis: Night can utilize his energy to move objects to his whim. He does not use this ability often, though he will playfully taunt his slaves and servants - lifting skirts and blaming the wind. That type of thing. Occasionally, given the appropriate situation, he will use this ability for more serious means and has the capability of moving incredibly large objects if need be. ***
This ability can also be used to tear, or rip fabrics and materials. Blood Barrage: Ex is able to materialize tiny balls of darkness, a little over the size of a normal bullet. He turns these into projectiles which he fires in any general direction. Upon landing, they adhere to their target, causing no initial damage. Upon mental command, these balls explode into tiny bursts of flame, causing burns/lesions wherever they've exploded. Darkness poison can then enter the wound and paralyze appendages, or cause general paralysis. He deems this attack 'blood barrage' given its nature and the way the darkness and flame interact upon explosion. It creates a small, blood red burst upon impact. |
