• Biography / Background

  Isak was born and grew up in Bergen, Norway and had a very ordinary childhood. Almost, at least. He has no siblings, but the only reason for that was because his mom was sent to a psychiatric hospital after finding out she was bipolar when Isak was 2 years old. She would go from a loving and caring mom to a depressive, non-eating, ghost-looking human being - and would not speak a word to either Isak or his dad.
  
  His mom was in recovery, it was a very slowly recovery, but it was going the right way -- unfortunately, she started feeling pain in her chest a couple of years later, which turned out to be a tumour. Sadly, she died 3 months later, which was a big loss for both Isak and his dad.
  
  When Isak was 13, his dad got a job outside Norway, which meant Isak had to leave his dearly beloved country and move across the sea. Not only did he have to leave Norway, it also meant he no longer was able to visit his mom's grave -- and that was indeed a big deal. Although his mom has not been a part of his life for that long, she was still his mom, and from the stories, his dad has told him as a child, about their wonderful adventures, she sounded like the most beautiful person this Earth has ever had. But, they moved, Isak was sad the first long, long time, but as he started to accept the fact he could only visit her grave in his sleep, life got a bit better. Not long before he started college, he started doing small drugs - mostly smoking grass and taking ecstasy at parties. His dad works pretty much all the time, which means they barely see each other, but to be honest that doesn't bother Isak. Once a week they go out to have dinner or something like that, and that's enough quality time he needs with his dad - at least in his opinion.
