• Biography

  Sera was born in Banora in the year 19XX to older Wutaian immigrant parents. Her mother was distant nobility and her father a merchant. Majority of her childhood years up until the age of 6-7 were spent farming dumb apples and living off the land. Sera learned how to weave and dye silk from her mother during this timeframe, as thanks to the rich soil, growing mulberry bushes was simple. Come around when she was 7, her family packed up and moved to Junon, opening a small general store near the wharf.
  
  Despite being uprooted from her hometown, Sera did her best to fit in and continue growing there, although she always regretted not being able to grow a dumbapple tree in her back yard. Her late childhood and adolescence saw her learning martial arts and how to hunt from her father. In particular, she took a strong liking to archery and marksmanship with a rifle. By the time she went off to college in Midgar, Sera had earned all the sharpshooter awards that could be issued to citizens on the continent.
  
  Her aim to become a doctor in Midgar fell short, and she became a nurse instead. The climate and pollution in Midgar was a constant complaint for Sera, who was used to the stark difference of either being in the virgin countryside or a relatively clean maritime city. Eventually, she would become terribly ill from what she thought was this environment in Midgar.
  
  She was successfully hired and employed by Shin-ra Electric Company for a few years before she fell on hard times. Rent for even a tiny apartment on the plate was astronomical, and corruption was rife. Eventually, wanting to avoid resorting to prostitution to support herself, Sera signed up to be experimented on to at least live comfortably for a year or so. The experiment was a failure for its intended purpose and only resulted in a long term sickness for Sera.
  
  Disgusted by the state of the company and the constant terrorist attacks in Midgar, she quit her job and left the city for Junon once more, where she set up a residence in the dense woods East of the town. By this time, both of her parents were dead and the general store had been taken over by a different family. Over a period of two years, she ceased to age and her hair went from brown to silver. This is due to every cell in her body being replaced with modified stem cells.
