Jonny was born to a low-income, Irish Catholic family in Boston. His dad was a bank robber, and his ma raised the kids, until he went to jail and she lost them to DSS. Jonny and his younger brother Tommy were separated, and he rarely ended up seeing his family again.
His dad had often brought him along while doing crimes, sometimes even involving him, by having him hold bags or keep a lookout. This was before Jonny was really aware of what was going on. After his dad was imprisoned, he tried to stay away from trouble, but it always ended up finding him. In adulthood, he ended up following in his father's footsteps despite his best efforts to the contrary.
Starting when he was nine, and until he was twelve, a priest took advantage of Jonny's faith, loneliness, and lack of stable family life. Since then, he's never been able to have a 'normal' view of sex. He violently despises the Church, especially since they covered up what happened to him to save face. He also has no sympathy for child abusers. Jonny has never killed a single person. If he caught someone hurting a kid that way, however, he'd gladly damn himself to wipe them off the face of the earth.
He joined the Navy at age 18, and served as a 9/11 first responder. Despite-- or because of-- his service during that time, he had been drinking heavily while on duty. He was dishonorably discharged for misconduct very swiftly, as he didn't get along too well with his superiors in the first place.
Now, Jonny robs banks in Charlestown, pulling jobs alone or in small groups, contracted by organized crime. In his spare time, he likes to go to gay clubs where he can find someone to beat the tar out of him.
A good kid at heart, he was crushed by bad circumstance and worse luck into a diamond of hate. Most of this was directed inward, resulting in his fetish for being beaten up.
Jonny's a flippant man who rarely takes anything seriously. He'll continue mocking an opponent until they shut him up physically, be it another thug, a cop, or a 'lover.' He always has a smile plastered on his face, and light in his eyes (somehow). His greatest joy in life is simply running his mouth. Well, that, and booze.
He's a kleptomaniac, and usually comes home with pockets full of trinkets that he can't even remember picking up. He loves negative attention and getting into trouble, though some small part of him wishes he could go back in time and stop himself from becoming a total low-life.
