• A Brief on La Chambre

  La Chambre Privé is the name of a rather prestigious, private circuit charm school (and suspected brothel, though those able to prove it aren't telling) hundreds of miles from the Guildereim shores. Though its full listing of provided services is just as under publicized as its clientele registers, it is common knowledge that the house 'specializes in the refining and education of men and women for the purposes of social and economic advancement', whatever that means. While she could not bring her beloved LCP to the Golden Tether, she has managed to get her hands on copies of the training ledgers and, as the former lead of instruction, brought with her the driving force behind opening another tier of socializers within the famed establishment.
  

  
• Tʜᴇ Pʜɪʟᴏsᴏᴘʜʏ;
  
  Minu lacks for a true 'feeling' about slavery on whole. She neither advocates nor openly spurns it as a practice, and no more fancies herself a 'Mistress' type by traditional defining. What Minu does recognize in all of this is opportunity, and an otherwise little-filled niche in a world full of 'breakers and bonders', of predictable dominants and the frequent displays along the more bold and brash end of what she has found is a wide stretching spectrum of trust and control.
  
  Her response to her observations was a simple one, though it has taken over two years of her off-and-again stay on the island of Guildereim for it to begin being perfected...
  
  A refiner is one which takes up the work of another and temporarily claims it as their own; they seek out, identify, diagnose and effectively remove or reconstruct certain aspects of that original piece to bring it nearer to perfection. Minu takes the stance of a refiner with slaves, servants and otherwise indentured beings. Her primary effort is to instill what of the upper cusp's attributing is attainable, and to supplement the failings of breeding and station. She works to impart a sense of purpose and a finely tuned objectivity in her charges, while boosting confidence in a way that is neither a hindrance to their position or an affront to their primary keepers, existing or yet to be found.
  
  
  As a player, I am wide open to putting Minu into positions to help another, either by way of spontaneous interest or purposed delivery and request. She works publicly and privately, and is available for both short and long-term assignments. Arrangements can be made through open roleplay, although I prefer some conversation beforehand to ensure that we are on the same pages with regard to the rules of that particular game.
  

  

  Pᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟ Sᴇʀᴠᴀɴᴛs;
  
  Minu is not without an interest in long-term or permanent placement of a slave within her 'house', though given her schedule and priorities, it is unlikely that she could or would dedicate the time, resources and energy to any slave that was without the potential to turn a profit. That, and she has some lofty damn ideas about just what an 'ideal' slave is.
  
  Note: Because there is no active/present need for a personal slave or servant for Minu, any interest in someone filling this role would likely come with a good bit of roleplay time and something of a well-established relationship between the mare and the other party. But I'm not tellin' what she'd be lookin' for.
  
  
  Tʜᴇ Mᴀʀᴋɪɴɢs ᴏғ Tᴇᴍᴘᴏʀᴀʀʏ Oᴡɴᴇʀsʜɪᴘ;
  
  Minu understands that her position in most slaves' lives is fleeting or termed at best. Because of this, she has commissioned no branding iron or special torc to mark a slave as hers for the moment. Instead, those put under her name for any period of time will find themselves tagged with one of any number of mehndi pastes. The different pastes are said to be crafted by her hand and used in different concentrations to prevent a need to reapply or forcefully remove the resulting stain more often than necessary. It is rumored that she often leaves symbolism indicative of the charge's required training, behaviors, successes and pending sessions in the markings, and that those who prove themselves incompetent end up looking more like notepads than students.

  

• La Chambre Training

  Mademoiselle Tanta offers a number of 'a la carte' and bundled training sessions for free persons or well-behaved slaves and servants looking to advance their status within a house or establishment. While her services range from basic to advanced techniques, no level of training covers any of the material in the others; those wishing to take on advanced courses immediately will have to prove their worth and ability through a skills test.

  • Mannerisms and Conversing (Basic) - Societal Norms, Respectful Behavior and the often unspoken laws of social etiquette
  • Body Language and Speech Manipulation (Intermediate) - How to understand and convey speech through body language and the subtle manipulation of facial muscles, as well as turning conversations to prevent them going awry
  • Information Retention and Intel (Advanced) - The art of remembering the minute details of just about everything, of collecting information without being noticed and, essentially, becoming invisible for the benefit of your superiors and those who require your services
  • Picture Perfect (Basic) - Lessons on how to dress well and identify fabrics and their grades, complimenting cosmetic application and the essentials of accessorizing on a daily basis for the benefit of self and others

  
  

  Dance

  • Folk Dance (Basic) - A medley of folk dances from throughout the world; focuses on both single and partnered dance
  • Ballroom Dance (Intermediate) - A series of practices with 'classical' dance; focuses on partnered dance
  • Belly and Erotic Dance (Advanced) - Student must show the ability to perform minor gymnastics stretches and contortions prior to acceptance in this session; focuses on single dance for the entertainment of others

  • Domestic Essentials (Basics) - Includes lessons on achieving and maintaining cleanliness within a household, cooking basics and terminology, and basic sewing lessons, the finer points of tea service
  • Bed, Bath and Shrine Adornment (Basics) - Preparing the bed for the noble classes and the bridal bed, water treatment, and the adornment of shrines for those who praise a number of Deities and/or Primes
  • Fine Dress and Adornment (Intermediate) - The finer points of dressing, styling and preparing another for the day both effectively and efficiently
  • Better than Boiling Water (Intermediate) - Second tier techniques on food preparation, spice creation and utilization, and methods to pairing beverages to meals expertly
  • Tailoring and Garment Creation (Advanced) -A breakdown of basic patterns from which several garments can be created by a hand familiar with stitching, and that can be deviated from to expand into wardrobe creation, repair and renewal - Student must know how to sew a series of basic stitch patterns and repair garments minor garment issues prior to this session;

  
  

  Fine Arts & Other Services

  • Building Interests (Intermediate) - A three-session block which will introduce the client to a number of skills and hobbies including (but not limited to) archery, jewelry crafting, herbal knowledge, chakra alignment, star reading, wine and spirits tasting, fragrance preparation, the composition of poetry, bird keeping, the dying of fabrics and items, spiritual chants and exercises, preparing cosmetics, playing the lute, flute or harp and singing
  • Script and Calligraphy (Intermediate) -A session long lesson on 'adorned' writing for the purpose of 'aesthetic practicality' - Student must know how to read and write minimally in the chosen language prior to acceptance in those session
  • Charcoal and Watered Dyes (Intermediate) - Use of charcoal and watered dyes to create images, as well as watered dye creation - Student must show some interest in the arts prior to acceptance in this session
  • Henna Design (Intermediate) - A two-day session on the preparation of henna pallets, staining knowledge and basic pattern creation - Student must exhibit a steady hand and ability to wield a paintbrush prior to acceptance in this lesson;

  Note: These sessions will be far longer than the 8 to 32 hour courses typical of Mademoiselle Minu as they require, in some cases, the building of muscle memory and committing information and behaviors to mind.
