  As Jamie entered elementary school her friendship and imagination never dimed. Her life had a lot of problems, but Jamie never noticed any of them. It didn't matter to Jamie as long as the hedgehog still made her laugh, Brinkly was her best bear friend and she got to play imagination. Mommy and daddy came to Jamie one day and told her that daddy had to go away. When she asked why they just answered that he had to go away to protect them. So daddy went off to war.
