"MOM!" Cried Devin, he ran over to her and checked the wound from the bullet which had only skimmed the skin off his shoulder and hit the wrong person. She was shot through the heart and killed almost immediately. the one with gun in hand watched in horror while his son cried out, and now his chest began pumping and pumping like a time bomb about to explode. Devin's father ended up dropping the gun and running out of the trailer house, leaving the door wide open. Devin stayed in the room a little after, clutching onto his mother's clothes. But then his ears picked up the roaring from their pick up's engine. So Devin took no time and stood up. He grabbed the gun that sat next to the door and rushed out to the road. First he was hesitant but while the truck rolled away drunkily Devin lifted both his hands up which clutched the gun and began shooting at the truck until the round was empty, it never once hit the truck. When his father was out of sight Devin gave out a loud wail and dropped to his knees to cry
He came home with dry blood still on his fists from the other teens broken nose. But Devin stopped in his tracks when he realized the two cops sitting on his couch, with his foster mother crying. When the two officers noticed his presence they both stood up. "Come on, son." One of them spoke up. "We got the call, we have rearrange different living situations for you." His face went blank while he noticed his tear-filled foster mom walking up, he adjusted his body to look at her "I didn't start it this time" He said, he didn't want the cops to take him away from the only person who filled the gap of his missing mother. "You have to believe me, you have to believe me!" He said, grabbing her shoulders gently but instead of her trying to help she allowed the officers to grab him by the shoulders and attempt to escort him outside the home. But his body went from calm to defensive, he gave one swift punch to the smaller's cops face that got him free so he tried to run. But then the other cop had snatched his shoulder and pulled him back. "You have to go with them, Devin" Said the lady that soothed Devin slightly to the point he decided to allow the cops to take him to the car.
The older guy came up and ashed the ashes of his cigar near Devin's shoes. When Devin thought he was going to back away, he had brought up his hand and gave Devin a stinging slap, then another on the other cheek that cause his mouth to bleed. "Nothing but a boy" He said, this time like he was disappointed "Stealing from my men." The guy stopped in his tracks and turned to the quieter one, his hand slipped behind him and pulled out a glock. You should've seen that guy's face right before he put a bullet into his skull. once he fell, Devin began to get really scared. Then he turned and aimed the smoking gun into his skull too. You now could see the sweat poring from Devin's pores. But then, his hand shifted down and a bullet went straight into his calf, making Devin scream and lean his upper body down to his lap. "You're good, though." Said the guy during his screaming. "You're dumb. But I can still...Teach you" He added, but he was also pacing around like he was still arguing with himself whether or not he wanted to shoot the kid or teach him whatever the hell he wanted to teach him. Then, after the guys discussed with himself, he left.
