Opal

Opal had never existed before she came to know what first light was. She wasn't born, but created. How it was told to her was that a piece of her brother was taken from him, he forced his will into that piece, wishing for a sister. That piece then would grow and shape into what his heart desired. Thus was how she came to be. Upon her first time she was conscious, she learned whom she was and who he was. It was then that she saw that darkness inside of her brother, when he killed her the first time, to test to see if she was a royal like him. When her body shattered into a million of piece of light, only to reform behind him, was when she was deemed worthy of begin his sister.

When she regenerated, she had no memory of what had just happened to her, the only thing that she knew was that she had her brother, and that was all that she cared about. She loved him with all her heart and it brought her much happiness. Even when he threatened to kill her. An epic battle had begun between the siblings, where he tried to crush poor little Opal, but with her own powers, she managed to burst the floor beneath him and have him fall down a few stories below. Parts of him were crushed by the debris, it didn't effect him as he just regenerated and healed. Opal had felt so awful that she hurt her brother, she cried out to him, her tears falling down hitting him. It was in this moment, with her sweetness, innocence, and her kind heart, she was able to sway her brother's darkness and change him. He was ever so nice to her, sweet even as she was full of happiness. The days of fun and play were before them as the petite princess would demand to play hide and seek with her brother.

A game that soon to prove that would be the end of her happiness. As the prince decided to play a harmless prank upon the princess, she would create a hole in the ground to float down into the lower depths of the castle, only to end up in the dungeon where her brother's deepest and darkest secrets were. The monsters that he created had horrified and scared the poor little princess, to the point where her brother came to her rescue. Though to fully defeat these never dying creatures once and for all, was to expose them to sunlight. To do this, her brother raised the castle, ripping it from the dungeon, but at a cost. Once she was freed from the darkness, her brother grew weak and the castle crumbled, fell, and buried him within the rubble, killing him. Or so she thought.

Years had passed, the princess had been working hard to restore what corruption her brother had upon the land. It was a shocking realization for the princess to see what kind of person her brother was, but it never deterred her from trying to find a way to bring him back to the dreamscape. While the castle was under repair, she found his crown, though dented and broke, she didn't care as she put it upon her head, wearing it proudly, as a reminder of her brother and her duty.

A year had passed, all the corruption and the repairs complete, when devastation struck the dreamscape, earth shook, thunder clapped in the sky. The princess had no idea what was going on, not until she found her brother, standing atop the stairs, leading to the entrance to the castle.
