Count Darrak of Rochfort

Born the Baston Baron of Rochfort, first son of of his father, the Baron of Rochfort. Darrak was thrust into the mantle of his barony when his father died in combat during the War of Humility. As baron, Darrak took up his father's post within the kingdom and eventually convinced his fellow boarder guard peers to practice strategies he formulated for dealing with the invasive war. Once the war concluded, Darrak earned gifts of land and prestige from the kingdom, and a reputation as a tactician who thought beyond the reason of most in other kingdoms. Though Darrak denied any claims of him being genius.

After the final battle of the War of Humility, Darrak was taken captive by a group sponsored by nobles within the kingdoms at war with Gransgaard. This group, called the Shattered Shield, sought to torture the baron and perhaps bend him to become one of their members. Though the ongoing torture left him physically scarred and shaken, he managed an escape and a fateful encounter with a maiden that healed him and helped him eventually return to his home. Aware of the fact that his tormentors were sponsored, wrathful against the group that tortured and warped him, Darrak swore revenge and began his hunt to track down the members and execute each, on the spot if necessary.

Though more wars broke out over the years, the baron maintained his hunt as well as his defensive duties in the kingdom, elevating to the rank of Count while devastating his enemies. The Shattered Shield seemed to fracture, leading to several groups who remained in his list for the hunt. The most prominent of his enemies, the elusive Black Scar, are now his main focus.

Darrak's appearance is a forboding one to the unfamiliar. He is tall, though his most impacting feature is his strength and balanced flexibility. As most of his line believe, a strong body is important for the duties of the realm, and thus the count still trains each day that he can, often setting aside dodeca-sector to that focus. Ever since his youth, Darrak trained harder than he expected of his own knights to train, and often challenged the elite among them to test their skill and strength against his own. As the Rochfort heirloom is a heavy warhammer that requires great strength to wield and great control to maintain, so do the first born of the house always dedicate their lives to training their upper bodies to command the weapon, and their lower bodies to maintain mobility.

Though, very few know the true figure of Darrak's body, for his shy nature drives him to hide his appearance. It is not so much shame over his strong figure, so much as it is an awareness of his attractiveness, something he does not wish to misguide the thoughts of those around him. The count often feels that lust clouds all intentions, thus it must be veiled and blinded lest it seep into the vision of those around.

Sharp brown eyes do not gaze and wander though, a disisnterest and a practice of self control and disinterest. Darrak only focuses on the important details and never lingers. He may assess a person's latent or intended message at most, but will not give into that message. Sometimes his gaze and bass tone are declared cold, mechanical as a siege spear. His focus just as sharp and impacting.
