• Appearance

  Lang WangJi is a young male with long black hair, some of it pulled back into a bun. He has sun tinted eyes, that hide his emotions from most, but if one gets close enough they might be able to decipher some feelings of disgust. His body is all lean, hard, dips and slight curves defining every line of muscle. However, this is completely hidden by the white show of robes that blanket his body.
  
  The tightly fitted robes consist of the inner being a light, soft blue shade and the outer being a simply white dopo. However both were tied at the waist with a plain blue ribbon. Upon his forehead one could also find a thin white headband that carried a lot of meaning.
  
  Although there were no weapons visible, he was known as the second best cultivator in the land and had no difficulty summoning his seven-stringed guqin or sword.
  
  Overall his beauty is incomparable, that only happens to appear once in a blue moon.

• Personality

  Lan WangJi can be described as someone courtly, righteous and well versed in etiquette. He is a strict follower of rules, unwilling to bend them even if it means he would be dragged down with the punishment. However, these set of rules mentioned before are set from his own sense of justice.
  
  He appears to be a straight laced person that always displays an air of elegance and a face of indifference, which is can be revealed to be due to his harsh circumstances. Including his mother's death, his father's illness, and having been separated from his brother while his sect was burning. One could hypothesize that these are the main reasons the male grew up to be so cold and distant from others.
  
  He is also straightforward and honest, meaning it goes against his convictions to tell a lie so he will usually remain silent when he doesn't want to answer a question. Similarly, though he does not show emotions outwardly, it is revealed that when he is embarrassed or shy, rather than blushing, his ears begin to become luminescent pink. On a side note, he has high awareness and is very perceptive of his surroundings.
  
  One of Lan Wangji's greatest faults and fatal flaw is his taciturn nature and inability to properly express himself or communicate with others, which may be due to the strict upbringing and his tragic circumstances (though his brother underwent the same circumstances and managed to be much more sociable and friendly). While he can hold conversations with others regarding cultivation, he speaks of little else and often only speaks when necessary (and when he does he usually only speaks a few words). He is usually comprehensive with his words and never pauses. However, although rare, he is capable of being surprised and left speechless.
  
  He also has a deep sense of honour and justice and cannot stand wrongdoing and evil. In fact, unlike most cultivators who refuse to handle minor demons and spiritual problems under the claim that it would be too much work, Lan Wangji would always help anyone in need no matter how small or how little fame would be acquired from the act. It can be inferred that he is stubborn and also protective of those he cares for, as evident by his relationship with his brother and his mother.
