  Nadya was born in Ñabivtzi, an agricultural town just south east of ZàÞça. It was here that her family grew Noîka, Bowl Needles, and raised animals such as C-bxa' and a small group of Ãokv'kele that her family has bred for ages. Their little farm wasn't as impressive as others but the Alvisè family was well known in their area for being a caring, always helpful family that never turned their backs on those in need. Nadya grew up working hard, just like the rest of her family, but always had a desire for fun, for more than just a life time in Ñabivtzi growing plants and tending to animals. She was a spitfire of a young woman in her youth, really. She loved to ride her Ãokv'kele into ZàÞça to trade and buy things, loved to test the limits of her parent's patience and leave for days, hidden in the sandy desert with nothing but her Ãokv'kele and her lust for fun. Everyone who knew of the Alvisè family knew of their wild hearted daughter, who danced in the streets of ZàÞça for fun, who laughed and lived like she was born to feed off the passions of the world. And despite her wild need for fun she was still just as kind hearted as her family was known to be, always offering a hand to those in need, always finding herself playing with children in the streets and bringing home small, injured creatures to care for them. She was as kind as she was beautiful.
  
  However, it was on one of her favored trips to ZàÞça that her life was changed forever. She was still young when it happened, just under one Tam'nýer—a''n year old, when she crossed paths with the first man she would ever come to love. He was a man that smelled of the salty sea, with a voice as rough as the waves that crashed onto the jagged rocks of the shore. A tall, broad shouldered man who arrived on a boat of his own, filled with men and women of all kinds, from all sorts of places and back grounds. A pirate was what he was, really, but he hid it well when he arrived in ZàÞça that day. Nadya fell in love with this man almost as soon as they met. She loved everything about him and he loved everything about her. She found every reason she could to linger in ZàÞça with this man she found herself so enamored with, until hiding it from her curious, worried family had become too difficult. But that didn't mean her family would allow it, of course...

  Nadya and her love, this man of the sea, ran away from Ñabivtzi and ZàÞça, much to the dread and dismay of her parents. The good Alvisè name, sullied by a pirate...and one who had taken their daughter from home, no less! Ah, but Nadya had no care for the family name, had little care for her parent's fear and despair. She was in love with a man who loved her, she was on a boat surrounded by men and woman of all kinds. She was in love with life, feeding off a passion she had craved her entire life. She was a pirate, training under the watchful eye of the crew and the man she called her lover. They taught her to fight, to be unwavering in the face of danger and fear. Nadya loved it, really, and she thrived here in a way she had never done in Ñabivtzi. The memory of home always came back to her when she was alone, memories dripping with her child-like desire. Those memories were always happy, but lacking the life that she had desperately wanted to breathe into them. She never looked back. The Alvisè family had no hold on her, had no say in how she decided to live her life.
  
  She and her lover loved with a passion great enough to rival the Gods above. He was her ocean, she was his sky. They fought side by side when they had to. She danced for him and their crew on the deck of the ship, preening under their praise and his loving gaze. He taught her how to preserve the life she had, showed her that some times your family is made up of the strange and wonderful people that call themselves your friends. She loved him more than she had ever loved anything or anyone. But there are some great love stories that never get their happy ending...
