History
He was a soldier, one of the best, actually. For years he served directly under the king, the "Royal Family" guard. Gabriel was raised in a wealthy family, promised at a young age he would become a knight for the kingdom and he believed it. He was by no means, the most responsible or polite child growing up, in fact, most people wouldn't have assumed he was from a noble family if it weren't for everyone knowing exactly who he was. Regardless, he had it pretty easy.
Well into his teens years is when he started training for knighthood. He was talented, quite efficient with a sword as well as hand to hand combat. With a watchful eye, the King began to take notice and picked him out of all the other recruits to begin special training. Of course, most people were unhappy with their kings decision. Gabriel was a mess, always causing trouble and sticking his nose where it didn't belong. For the years to come after, he was greatly ridiculed and mocked for it, being told that if it weren't for his family he'd be nothing more than a common thug. Of course, the scorn had never gotten to him, for he was strong willed and stubborn. However, because he lacked any friends, it appeared everyone was out to get him and they'd done just that.
As the Royal Family had slept, someone had managed their way into the kings bed chamber, slaughtering him in cold blood. Gabriel was somehow tipped off and stormed through the castle looking for the perpetrator, but coming up empty handed. He'd went to tell the king of the news and upon entering the room, the sight was played out before him. He'd drawn his sword, stepping closely to the bed, but unknowingly the wife had laid asleep, up until that very moment.
There stood Gabriel, weapon in hand and murdered kings in front of him. For as how the sight must've looked for the Queen, well, it was enough to land him into prison. Confused and innocent, he sits rotting in the jail cell, waiting for a chance at redemption, but will he ever get it? -
Personality
Gabriel is nothing short of a neutral character. He acts on impulse, without ever given really any thought to his actions until after he's made the commitment. He tends to just follow his whims whenever they strike him and whether they are good or bad to those witnessing his actions, he follows through with them. Although he was a knight for the royal family, obeying the law had never been quite the easiest task. To put it simply, he makes his own way, but he's kind about it, benevolent. He believes in goodness and right but has little use for laws and regulations, thus people often misconstruing his behavior with vigilantism.
He has the right intentions, though Gabriel's moral compass is different than most.
Aside from his more chaotic good side, his lesser known qualities consist of him being free-spirited, confident and a bit of an asshole. Despite his views of upholding the good in life, he tends to be a very carefree person. Though murderers and liars are what he genuinely cannot stand. Even so, the man in nothing short of a charmer and judge free character. He's a flirt through and through, and if he can use his wit and looks to gain the upper hand he will. Mischievous and manipulative he might be, but beneath his paradox of a personality, he has a heart of gold.
