History
It was hard being a therapist at such a young age. It was years after World War 2 and yet people still suffered greatly. In fact, therapy was in such high demand that asylums and hospitals were practically paying for people to go to college for it. One of such people, was Fleur Vohs. Being a farmer's daughter, most people hadn't expected her to be that intelligent, figuring she'd known more about sheep versus the human brain. However, their minds quickly changed when she passed the college placement test with flying colors and soon after she was sent off to study.
Though at the time, the courses were vigorous, as they were having more scientific breakthroughs with psychology and the human brain. Around this time, new mental diseases were finally getting names and list began to grow. It was no challenge for Fleur, although, it didn't stop her from worrying about her future. Assuming she worked for a mental ward, her safety was likely to be at risk.
Even though the fear and worries stuck with her, that's exactly what she ended up doing. Now at the young age of 24, the woman works as a highly-esteemed therapist, working with all sorts of deranged and terrifying patients. Although most people question her for her occupation, their was something about it she was so attracted too. Perhaps it were the people or maybe just the work itself. Whatever the reason, she was fixed on helping these people any way that she could. While her intentions seem pure, there does happen to lie a rather curious front within her. A curiosity that may just get her into trouble. -
Personality
To put it simply, Fleur does the best that a good person can do. She is devoted to helping others. She often works with the law, but does not feel beholden to them. She believes that there must be some regulation in combination with freedoms if the best is to be brought to the world--the most beneficial conditions for living things in general and intelligent creatures in particular. She sees the cosmos as a place where law and chaos are merely tools to use in bringing life, happiness, and prosperity to all deserving creatures. Order is not good unless it brings this to all; neither is randomness and total freedom desirable if it does not bring such good.
Even so, Fleur values both personal freedom and adherence to laws. She feels that too many laws may unnecessarily restrict the freedom of good beings. She also believes that too much freedom may not protect society as a whole and encourage counterproductive divisions and in-fighting. That isn't to say she promotes governments with a great deal of power, but prefers officials with common sense.
She values life and freedom above all else, and despise those who would deprive others of it. She sometimes finds herself forced to work beyond the law, yet for the law, and the greater good of the people. She is not vicious or vindictive, but is driven to right injustice. Obtaining her goals in the sake of bettering peoples lives makes her unstoppable. She is not a fighter or a hater, however she will manipulate her way through her obstacles.
