History
Kyman Rousch goes by many names. Asshole, prick, free lancer. But to most, he's the infamous captain of the Icarus, a star ship hellbent on crossing galaxies. Aside from being one of the most wanted criminal's on over a handful of planet's, little is known of the man's past. Often times, he might make up his own little sob story: at times he was the child of poor farmer's who were murdered in cold blood, other times, he was a child slave ripped from the hands of a loving family. Of course to him, the sadder the story, the more pity he get's.
Rougish by nature, the man has relied on nothing but his charms and wits to survive the harsh environment of space. Just like Earth, there's murderer's, thieve's, liar's, for which he's all of the above, but none are quite as friendly as this man. But like most manipulative con-artist's, his niceness comes with a price. He may not directly ask for a favor right away, but a person is likely to find him on their doorstep days, weeks, even months later. This man is always on the lookout for something, hence him always finding help where he can.
Perhaps he owes someone a few favors in return? To him, no successful man has gotten to the top without a little help.
So, as anyone could imagine, Kyman is full of secrets. Though, underneath his relaxed and nonchalant exterior, there is a beating heart, but only few have ever scratched the surface. A story often told among the crew mates of his ship were that he was once married, even had a child. If so, why had the man left that life behind? No, it's not their story to tell, but would the captain ever be willing to share it either? -
Personality
To put it simply, Kyman is a trouble maker, though does he rarely get caught. His actions might one day catch up to him, but the man is elusive and somehow manages to outrun his fate. He's charming, witty and a flirt to boot, so if their is a way to manipulate his way out of a situation, you can count on him to find one.
Some people might find him a little too honest at times. While he doesn't see it as a problem, it once again is the very reason he get's into so much shit in the first place. He's very open-minded however, refusing to share his opinion until he fully understands the problem. Though this often get's misinterpreted and people believe he's nothing more than an unfeeling jerk, but his intention's are usually well meant. He's really just bad at expressing his emotions, but given time he'll figure it out.
In regards to his more caring side, romance is generally a touchy subject. He's all for a good time and hanging around attractive men, but due to a particular past relationship, something has always kept him from really committing. It was true, when he said he was married, having a kid of his own, but it wasn't the kind of relationship he wanted or needed. All it is, is just another mystery than makes Kyman so interesting. Should anyone learn the truth, they must've been doing something right.
