Lian

Lian doesn't remember much from when she was born or when she was a child. From what she can recall, she was born not too long after her brother...and as soon as they were able to fend for themselves, their parents set them off on their own. In her mind, the passing of time is a bit muddled. She's not sure how much older her brother is compared to herself, in days or years, but she does remember that even when their parents left them, he remained in her life to ensure that she would be protected from the harm that exists in the world.

Much of her younger years are blurred in her memories, only brief glimpses of clarity visible through the fog every now and again. It's not that the fae is absent of mind, it's just that when one lives such a prolonged life, the earlier memories start to fade. Despite that, there is one moment that she remembers with sharp clarity, as if it had only happened moments ago. A traumatic event happened to her brother and soon after without much explanation, she was brought under the roof of a devil for protection. It was something that her brother had arranged, though she never questioned it as under their care, she knew that she was safe and that no tragedy would befall her. If her brother deemed this necessary, then she wouldn't resist. Some would say that she was a caged bird, but it was hard to see when she was provided with everything she needed, much of what she wanted, and more than she could have ever hoped for.

Life with the devil isn't without issues, but there is nothing so egregious that it is remembered with bold clarity. He and those under him became her new family, as did their blooded relatives to a certain degree, and she made many close friends with those that he had taken in under his protection as well.

As the years passed, Lian followed him where ever he went. If it was time to move to a new home, she went willingly and without arguments. He and those under him were supposed to protect her and she would never insult them by questioning or doubting any decisions. If anyone asked, she would freely admit to trusting him with every fiber of her being. And in following, she witnessed many things: the rise and fall of civilizations, wars, inventions, creations, things beyond comprehension, and so many things that covered the range of all emotions that the fae could feel with her entire body.
