• Violet's Powers

  Electrokinesis
  The ability to manipulate, generate, and become electricity.
  
  • Lightning: By overcharging the static of electrons in the air Violet can create and control lightning.
  
  • Nervous Control: by overcharging the electric pulses in people's nervous system she can cause moderate to severe paralysis depending on how much she overcharges them. She is able to extend this as far as to completely destroy a person's nervous system from the inside out. She is also able to do the reverse of this and alter the pulses in such a way as to repair a person's nervous system.
  
  
  • Electrical Coding: Violet is able to read and decipher electrical pulses like coding. This allows her to decipher the thoughts and feelings of others telepathically as well as speak to people without sound by sending electrical pulses directly into the part of the brain that controls auditory senses.
  
  • Electrical Illusion: Similar to the way she can telepathically communicate with people she is able to send pulses to the optical nerves of a person to make them hallucinate or see things that aren't there. On a deeper level she can send pulses to a person's brain to tell them they are feeling things that they aren't actually feeling.
  
  
  • Total Brain Control: the most extreme alteration of pulses in the brains nervous system. She is able to wipe, rewrite, or create memories using intense electrical pulses. This even goes as far as to allow her to tell the persons brain what to do turning people into living puppets.
  
  • Electromagnetic manipulation: Violet is able to create, alter, and control strong electromagnetic fields allowing her a sort of magnetism and control of metal objects.
  
  • Living lightning: Violet is able to convert her body's mass into pure unfiltered electricity and back. Due to this she is able to travel at the speed of rapid lightning strikes. At the most advanced form of this she is able to pull electricity into her body and convert it to mass healing certain types of wounds and repairing her body.
  
  • Levitation: by electrically fusing the air particles around her Violet is able to create a cushion of dense supercharged air particles around her allowing her to walk or levitate through the air.
  
  • EMP: Violet is able to create electromagnetic pulses and sparks. In Theory in a modern day world she would be able to fry electrical devices with this ability. However, that is not it's only use. By having the sparks statically charge her fur she is capable of creating an electromagnetic field of sorts that shocks any metallic or organic material that touches it. On a more offensive front this ability can create electrical shock waves originating from her as the epicenter.
  
  
  Biokinesis
  The ability to manipulate ones own body on a microcellular level.
  
  • Hormone Manipulation: Violet is able to manipulate the hormones in her body to produce a wide variety of effects. The most common application of this effect is the adrenaline surge. She commonly uses this ability while fighting to overload herself with adrenaline causing vastly enhanced energy and strength.
  
  • Motor Control Enhancement: By manipulating the speed at which her motor control works she is able to enhance her hand eye coordination and overall reflexes.
  
  • Pigment Manipulation: By manipulating the pigment of her skin, hair, eyes, and fur Violet is able to alter her general appearance to look like other people and or become like a chameleon and blend into her surroundings.
  
  • Density Manipulation: By Manipulating the density of her cellular structure she can alter her skin and body to become denser rendering herself indestructible or she can disperse the cells enough to pass through solid objects on the reverse side of the spectrum. This cam even be taken a step further to alter her weight as well without altering her actual appearance allowing her to become as light as feather thus floating on the air and wind or becoming so heavy that she crashes to the ground like a meteor crushing whatever is below her.
  
  • Enhanced Senses: this one is pretty self explanatory. Those with biokinesis can sharpen their senses at will. This includes smell, sight, hearing, taste, and feel.
  
  • Hyper Adaptation: Violet is able to use her biokinesis to adapt to her environment at a hyper accelerated rate. Even going as far to breathe underwater or any number of other effects. In essence this is the base form of biokinesis and manipulation of one's body to adapt at will.
  
  Audiokinesis
  The manipulation of sound and vibration
  
  • Amplification: By altering the frequency of sound waves Violet can make a sound as subtle as a snap sound like a deafening thunderclap
  
  • Dampening: the reverse of amplification though it works in the same way. This can go as far as to manipulate total silence.
  
  • Vibration Control: By manipulating the speed at which objects vibrate their natural frequency she can control friction and density frequency causing them to alter the state of the object making them become like gas, liquids, or solids
  
  • Combustion: by way of hyper vibration she can cause immense surges of friction that cause objects or people to spontaneously combust. This ability can create heat and sometimes fire but she can not control the heat or fire once it is made.
  
  • Shockwaves: by manipulating soundwaves, frequency, and vibration she can create shock waves of immense sound strong enough to rip flesh, shatter bone, and liquidize organs.

• Back Ground

  Captivity and Shackles.
  
  For as long as Violet could remember the earliest part of her life was painful to say the least. She was born into slavery in a desert oasis city known as Arcos. It was a city of lavish wealth and severe social dis-balance. The wealthy lorded over the poor like they were animals. And unfortunately for Violet she was born with traits that made her even more of an animal in their eyes. Though born of an ancient race of bipedal sphinxes that once held immense power in this day and age they were seen as novelties. No more than possessions for the nobles of Arcos to use and abuse.
  
  For the men of her kind this typically meant fighting to the death in the gladiatorial pits of the lower city for the amusement of the nobles and their company. The strongest of those warriors that earned there "freedom" were to be used for breeding purposes in order to keep the race going and provide more entertainment. While the weakest either wound up food for the wolfs or if they were lucky house keepers.
  
  The women of the Athersian Sphinxes however, knew a different story. From the second their bodies reached maturity usually around the age of 13 by a human's count. They were dressed up like ornaments and presented to nobles to please their more carnal desires. Every night summoned to the bedroom to be used and abused by the nobles in anyway they deemed fit and few were ever gentle.
  
  That was the story that Violet knew. Every day beaten, raped, abused, and then tossed aside like trash. For two long years she tolerated the brutal touch of her master. Bowing to his every whim and desire like a proper slave for fear she would be sent to the pits. This changed however after an eventful night where she was not only forced to do her normal duties but also please the guests that her master was entertaining. It was by one of these guests that Violet became impregnated at the age of fifteen. Though her body had matured early like most sphinxes typically did her mind was not prepared for it. The realization breaking the young girl into a bitter mess. Even more so when the father of her unborn child offered to buy her.
  
  Her owner declined the offer and as her pregnancy became more apparent he became increasingly bitter with Violet. His treatment of her growing worse over several months. He began forcing her to please him several times a day as well as beating her to the point of needing emergency medical attention at even the slightest infraction of his will or mistake. His treatment only furthered Violet's resentment and she developed a bitter hatred towards humans. Growing cold and emotionless she distanced herself from her owner only fueling his rage.
  
  One night when her owner had had an exceptional amount of drink he became excessively Violent with her. He tried to take her to his room to please him but the bitter Violet refused his command leading him to fly into a bout of anger. Grabbing a knife her master slit open her stomach killing her unborn child before proceeding to choke her. Scared and teary eyed Violet tried to throw her hands up to protect herself but instead of blocking the man she saw a flash of light as lightning seemed to pulse from her hands sending her owner backwards from a shock wave and killing him instantly on impact with the wall.
  
  Confused and In a daze Violet fled to the Alley ways and underground waterways of the city unaware that the long suppressed bloodline of the sphinxes power had awoken within her.
  
  
  Hiding in Plain Sight.
  
  Having escaped to the under city streets and alleys Violet knew she would have to fight in order to survive. It was a cutthroat world where dogs ate dogs and not only that but she also had to be careful to not be found out. If she were found no doubt would she be returned to slavery or worse the gallows for killing her owner.
  
  It was during this time on the streets that Violet explored her powers. She quickly became aware of their potential as well as learned it wasn't just lightning she could control. She was able to adapt sound itself as well as her own body. These gifts making it easier for her to survive. Not only that but she also became aware of the vast advantages her lineage gave her. Heightened senses, her sense of smell, reflexes, and eyesight were far beyond that of even the most trained humans. She was in every way superior to them and she quickly became aware of it. Finding herself living in a refugee city hidden in the water ways beneath of Arcos. It was there she learned the skills of the thief and the ability to disappear into the cities sewers like smoke. An unseen hand picking the pockets of the common people and vanishing without a trace.
  
  Beneath the city was a culture of it's own. There she found a family among others of her kind and learned the skills she needed to survive as a cutthroat as well as a place to sell her wares. It was full of large gate chambers that were used as markets and trading hubs as well as numerous channels connecting the city of Arcos. Living in the sewers she learned the lay of the city and developed an appreciation for architecture and reading. Her free time entirely consumed by learning anything and everything she could.
  
  From advanced mathematics to military strategy and astronomy the young refugee would read up on any subject she could find books on. Many of the others in the hidden city thought her foolish for wasting her time in such manners but she didn't care. Aside from the fact that she found much of the information useful it gave the now 16 year old Athersian a way to pass the time and make cold nights less lonely. By the time she was seventeen she had even gone as far as to sneak to the roofs of the palace to study the stars and planets.
  
  All that would change however when the hidden city was discovered by a human. A lone traveler bearing twin blades and a dragon tattoo. Many in the city acted hostile towards the man and distrusted him. However when the man not only embraced them but also bested the best warriors of the underground refuge in ritual combat without so much as a scratch the lots were cast. By way of the Athersian law founded in the refuge the strongest led and he had proven his worth. However the man seemed disinterested in leading the Athersians instead he offered them a choice. Stay in the sewers and hide away from conflict, or make a stand and put right the wrongs done to them and the other slaves.
  
  For Violet...... The choice was clear.
  
  From Refugee to Rebel
  
  Violet like many others were ready to stand in opposition to the nobles. Their choice? What choice? There was none their fate had been decided and they knew it. Arcos was on the brink of rebellion and the Athersians were right in the middle of it.
  
  Following the man named Aevris Tel'Avi she took refuge under his wing. He led her to a monastery in the mountains near Arcos where the 18 year old Violet was rather swiftly inducted into the Tel'Avi monastery. For two long years she mentored under Aevris who nurtured her. Not only training her body for combat but also sharpening her mind and reflexes. She easily showed promise as a warrior and a leader her abilities putting her head and shoulders above the rest. Despite this though one thing was drilled into the young Violet's head more than anything else. Humility. How could one lead if they were put on a pedestal above their men. No she was to be the lowest and taught to serve those beneath her. It was a significant blow to the young Athersian's fiery ego but it was one that was well taught. For those years she studied compassion, humility, and discipline. Three concepts that she had never quite come to understand so intimately as she did with Aevris gentle wing sheltering her.
  
  At the age of nineteen Violet had already become a respected member of the monastery and began to hone her mental control of her powers far beyond a normal extend. Developing such a delicate control of it that she could even go as far as to control such a small signal as a person's nervous system. An ability that would later proof to be vastly useful but also one that required a significant amount of self control, discipline, and humility. The ability to force one's will and thoughts on another person was certainly breathtaking but one that should never be used carelessly or taken for granted. As such she made a vow to never use the ability save for dire emergency situations.
  
  She continued to develop and hone her skills and body for another year eagerly learning under the wise mentorship of Aevris. However when she was twenty years old the tides of fate shifted once again. The drums of war were echoing through out Arcos and Violet intended to answer the horn.
  
  Rising Rebellion
  
  The nobles that many of the Athersians had escaped from had caught wind of there whereabouts and the involvement of Aevris Tel'Avi. Storming the monastery the soldiers of Arcos set fire to the sanctuary burning their libraries of knowledge and killing many of the monks that were living there. Infuriated Violet rose along side Aevris as the right hand of Tel'Avi. The two of them gathering the growing rebellion that had started little more than two years prior and taking the city by storm. The streets ran red with fire and blood as the Athersians stormed the city alongside the humans they had grown to trust. They had come to realize that despite their issues it was not all humans that meant to cause them harm and in fact many rose to stand and fight alongside them. They were not the demons they had once believed them to be. No! They were angels that took up arms to fight alongside them.
  
  For two years the city of Arcos burned brightly with the fires of civil war. The fight that had started as the struggle of the Athersians had blown up and become a full fledged rebellion. The common folk and former slaves of Arcos were sick of the Nobles Tyranny. For over a hundred years of bloodshed it came to this. Blood for Blood and Bone for Bone. They would not rest until every lord, lady, and bastard child of the noble reign fell to the sword. Retribution was a long time coming and it's sword was sharpened for the slaughter.
  
  The thing that set the rebels aside from the nobles was not only their spear of determination but also a secret weapon. The two years of a bored youth that had been spent exploring every nook, cranny, sewer, and water channel of the city. The rebels knew the lay of the city better than those that had built it and what more they had the power of Violet Kastori on their side not just her knowledge. A power she had long refrained from using. The power of telepathy and telekinetic control. She was able to share information instantaneously with the rebel army via electrical pulses directly to their brains and order them to mobilize across the city with a simple thought. Twenty thousand rebels sharing one mind mobilizing simultaneously across Arcos at the command of a single general.
  
  Two years to train the men. Two years to set up outposts in the city. All for a fight that would last a single night. It was known as the night of the living storm. From dusk to dawn the city set ablaze and in a single night every noble family laid to waste. The streets of the square bathed in blood and purged by flame. One thought, one army, one mind. In the course of twelve hours the screams of the nobles hung like music in the ears of the oppressed as Violet herself issued over six thousand execution orders. The final one though, That one she was saving for the break of the rising sun.
  
  As the night coursed on her men stormed the palace. The king of Arcos and his entire bloodline taken captive and marched to the square. Their fate? Sealed and Signed by blood. Execution in front of the entire city.

  The royal family is to face execution by the sword at the break of dusk in the square. Today the blood of the nobles fills the streets. Every lord, lady, and bastard child of the royal family cut down in the same manner that they so mercilessly cut down our people. The common people hold the throne and equality rises. No longer need we fear the humans. They can stand with us as one or die by our sword.

  What is the crown of a warrior? I once thought that it was the battle that defined us. Though now I am left to wonder. I've been a slave, a thief, a monk, a rebel, your general and advisor. But never in all my years could I have ever dreamed I would sit on a throne. And yet here I am. They call me a sentinel but I can't help but question them. Who am I to lead them? My hands are tainted friend. Stained red with blood. I am not fit to lead. I must admit I have thought to leave this place. I am scared though. I am scared of what might happen to them. I think it is time for me to retire. I have walked this earth for twenty four years and yet already I grow weary of it. My hairs are turning grey and my questions still remained unanswered. What have I achieved. It has been two years since the streets of Arcos were stained red. I think I know the answer now. The question you had once asked and I have now asked you. The crown of a warrior is not the battle that defined us. It is the war we rage silently with ourselves. Only by conquering our own mind can we truly find peace. I salute you old friend. I only wish I could find the peace you have. Perhaps one day should our path's cross let me share a cup of tea with you. One old soul to another.

  To a Dear Friend.
  
  How many moons has it been since you came to visit. I had a run in with someone yesterday. It was a rather funny thing actually. They said a weary traveler had asked them to find me. I don't think they knew just what you were getting them into. You remember that town I once told you about. Well I left it some time ago. Your friend found me in Vasilleio. I've been laying low in a quaint village down here where I have fallen in love with the culture. You should see the city at night. It's like an ocean of lanterns. Anyway.... I guess I was just writing to say I'll be moving on soon. One traveler to another I guess you will understand. I'm tired so tired Aevris. And yet if I stay still for too long. I feel as if I'll go crazy. You ever dream of what the world would be like in another life? I only wish.... I wish I never picked up a sword. Yet... I am glad I did. Now though I.... I am scared I don't know anything but the sword. Is this what we are? Restless souls left without purpose and no hope of finding sanctuary? I think I shall return to the isles. At least there.... I know I will be of use to someone.
