Tony Alfonso

Tony Alfonso was born Jonathan Anthony Baily in the small town of Phenix City, Alabama just across the Chattahoochee River from the much larger Columbus, Georgia. His mother Brandy Jo Russell-Baily was just 18 when she got pregnant with Tony, who grew up known as "Johnny Boy" by friends and family. His father, Randall Paul Bailey, Jr. was a truck driver and frequently on the road. He was 19 when he found out he was going to be a father. He and Brandy's relationship had been rocky from the start and a child only complicated things.

When "Junior" was home, he would drink heavily and often fight with his young wife. By the time Johnny Boy was five, Junior left his wife and headed north to Chicago when he had an opportunity to make more money. He'd also discovered Brandy Jo had been sleeping around while he was on the road. It was more than 5 years before Brandy was able to track Junior down for the child support he owed.

In the meantime, young Johnny boy quickly found himself in trouble and on the wrong side of the law. Understandably, the youth had no strong male role model in his life and did poorly in school. By age 16, he'd dropped out and had a lengthy juvenile record. Brandy was not only afraid of her son but unable to control him. Eventually, despite having little means of collecting the child support she owed, she managed to convince Junior to take their son. His father's live-in girlfriends changed often due to abuse and his being gone. Johnny Boy was left to fend for himself on the street and quickly fell in with a gang.

Finding the name 'Johnny Boy" or even Johnny a bit too redneck, he began to use his middle name Tony. Many of his friends were of Italian descent and the name made him feel as though he belonged. Tony became a dock worker under the local Union and quickly drifted into organized crime. By the age of 21, he was caught up in a major drug bust and did some time in state prison. Once out on parole, he was under heavy scrutiny by the law.

His contacts helped him disappear, creating a new identity for him. With some help, he established himself in upstate New York as Tony Alfanso and was back in business dealing with connections his gang had in New York. Gradually, the cocaine ring he was dealing with lead him to make regular trips to Pittsburgh as he began running drugs in his Firebird Trans-AM. As he moved up in the ranks, he took over the operation in Pennsylvania and got himself an apartment.

As things progressed with the drug operation, he began dating a young girl named Cathy Higgins. The relationship progressed quickly. After he bought a brand new red Camaro Z28, he gave the Firebird to Cathy as a Christmas present. He planned to marry her soon after. Unfortunately, Cathy witnessed a late-night business transaction gone bad not long after that.

She fled, with the car, out of state along with some product in the trunk that she was unaware of. It took Tony a little while to figure out where she went. However, with the help of some connections, a few wire taps and surveillance of Cathy's mother's house, it didn't take Tony long to learn Cathy, the Trans-Am and the contents in the trunk, were deep in the heart of Texas. Tony now had to make an inconvenient side trip to the lone star state to collect a few things that rightfully belonged to him. He recently got a few associates together and headed down south to take care of business.
