• Backstory

  Melody was born into a family of moderate wealth. Her parents were overjoyed to have a boy. Life went well. When Melody turned five, she began to tell her parents that she was a female. This was met with an indulgent,"haha! Yes, of course." It was around this age Melody's father started to play ball with her, wanting to encourage her to play sports. Melody's father had wanted to go pro but had sustained an injury that rendered him unable. In Elementry school, Melody still insisted that she was a female, and it was then, when she introduced herself, that she told people to call her "Melody."
  
  Melody's teacher informed her parents about it over a phone call. While Melody was at school, her parents raided her room and found some stolen makeup that belonged to her mother, and a few dresses as well. They were furious. When Melody got home, she was given a tongue-lashing, a spanking, and was grounded from the TV for a month. For stealing and this ridiculousness about being a girl. Melody was frightened by how angry her parents were about it, and decided to pretend she felt like the male she'd been born as.
  
  This went on through middle school and her freshmen year of high school.
  
  Melody gained friends. Friends like her, who weren't the gender they were born as, diverse friends, and they helped her to realize that she wasn't in the wrong. At this point, Melody was done with school and sports (her father had pushed her too much, put her on a training schedule, restricted her diet..) and so, she decided to fight for who she was.
  
  She had a job as a waitress, so she bought dresses, and wigs, and makeup and heels and bras and stuffing for the bras and never looked back. She always hid it from her parents and changed in the subways bathroom before and after school.
  
  In addition, she found out about Yaoi during this time and soon became obsessed.
  
  Her parents loved her and wanted the best for her, Melody knew this, but she still couldn't handle that they didn't accept her. It was sobering. She moved out into an apartment as soon as she could with the excuse of collage. Though she did end up going.
  
  Melody hid her being trans from her parents, and maintained little contact with them.
  
  Eventually, she got her degree and became a librarian. It was a good job, and she was happy with it.
  
  Then she met some online friends. She found they had similar intrests. One night they met up at a bar and formed a manga creating company titled,'HeartOn." And they made yaoi manga together.
