Brakes

Please bear with me, this is my first ferretaur and I haven't RP'd in a while.

Born William Cress, he earned the name 'Brakes' at 13 seasons on his first job with a local gang, accidentally goading the carthorse to go faster rather than to stop. Dumb luck was that the blockade of knocked over crates were light enough to let most of horse and cart through for several feet past the soldiers, allowing most of those in the gang to escape on foot as the guards regrouped, William, thrown out as the cart bounced about, was left unconscious in the detritus.

After spending some time in low security lock-up, he was released and picked back up by the gang, and given his new moniker. Now 19 seasons, the youth had filled out, a solid build backed up by an aggressive demeanor and hutzpah.
The light brown hair on his head was worn long, loose curls falling about his shoulders and across his forehead. Bright blue eyes and plush lips in a youthful face gave him an advantage over older men and women with a protective streak, though the start of a mustache and a scar through one eyebrow was slowly hardening the baby-face. His upper torso was lightly tanned, speaking to much time spent with his shirt off, lower body where human hips became legs was long and flexible, covered in thick, coarse brown hair, darker about front legs and back legs.

Though possessing both human and ferret features, Brakes has a knack for getting into business that is none of his, and tends to find himself in trouble due to his pressing need to investigate the unknown. This can be prying into others personal matters after overhearing something interesting, investigating closed things, especially boxes and crates, or restricted areas, since being told to keep out is a sure fire way to make him want in. Even if it turns out to be boring.

I welcome feedback and input, I can always be better and refine Brakes. That said, it's known that you cannot please everyone, and Brakes is first and foremost made for me, myself, and I.

I'm using Dacre Montgomery's character Billy Hargrove for the basic idea of my character, building on some of Billy's personality to give myself a little boost getting Brakes going.
That said, when I can afford to pay someone to draw a picture for me I'll probably replace the character references.

I don't have a problem RPing most situations out, but I'll try to let you know if I'm not feelin' it, and I hope you'll do the same for me. It's no fun if we have to fight to post a response!

I'm also a parent IRL, so if I happen to disappear, it's not personal, my toddler was simply about to test her mortality. We are currently in the 'I am INVINCIBLE' stage of the terrible twos, and it's..... interesting.
I also don't want to put my digital world ahead of her, so I may bow out if she needs me.
This won't be a common thing, I usually balance real life and digital life pretty well, just gotta put the disclaimer in now.

Back to Brakes! Ferrets are fierce, playful, inquisitive and SMART. Brakes has all these traits, but being a street kid from early on with an unreliable homelife has bricked over some parts of his personality. It's all still there, but if you want him to be lovey-dovey, playful, relaxed, then we need to at least lay the foundation before fast forwarding any.
I made Brakes the way he is, I'd like to work him through some experiences. Every RP will influence him, help him grow, or not.
