• Personality

  Despite her connection with the dead, Eva is anything but a killjoy. She can be shy towards people she doesn't know, but once she has warmed up to someone it is easy to tell. She can be quite mischievous, pulling pranks or finding other ways of getting into trouble when the mood strikes her.
  
  She also has zero concept of personal space when it comes to those she considers a friend. Having grown up with spirits who lack this courtesy, it's a bad habit she has latched onto. While this doesn't mean she is purposefully being flirty, it can come across that way. Usually when she is trying to flirt, she becomes awkward and clumsy.
  
  With Eva's skill set, she has of course adopted a certain amount of secrecy and mystery. She is very open towards the spirits that hang around her, but opening up to people often takes some time.

• History

  Perhaps the best place to start is before her beginning. Rosalynn Bynes was as beautiful as she was ordinary. While nothing interesting seemed to ever happen to her, she was fond of some rather unusual things. She was a photographer by trade, but her passion was wild life photography. Anything front ants to elephants, if she had the opportunity to snap a picture of it, she would. For every animal and insect that she photographed, Rosalynn knew at least one unique trait to the creature.
  
  It was during an outing to the zoo that she met him. Most of the guests were busy observing the animals, but she had stopped to take a picture of a butterfly she had never seen before (to later find out it was a moth). When she stopped to observe the butterfly, as when he carefully approached.
  
  Thanatos, introduce as Anthony Mors, quickly fell in love for the human woman. Thanatos was the Greek god of nonviolent deaths. His name literally translating to “death” in Greek. He was made to deliver humans from sorrow and pain through a gentle touch. Thanatos was not the same god as Hades; though Hades ruled the underworld, Thanatos was the god who brought peaceful deaths to the underworld. No one ever said he brought all of them to the underworld.
  
  And just as one might expect, it is not good for a humans health to be around the god of death too long. They were able to have a relationship, and even a child, but all good things eventually came to an end. Rosalynn died when Evangeline was eight years old. Unable to raise her himself, she was taken in by her aunt and uncle.
  
  The family she spent the next eight years with were wonderful to her. They had been unable to have children of their own, so looking after Eva became their world. The couple used everything they could think of to pull their niece out her shell. The girl constantly flipped through old photos her mom had taken, but she was not interested in taking pictures. After several failed attempts of reaching out to her, things were brought to a head. Renovations to turn the spare bedroom into Reva's new room had been slow going. Tempers were high and patience was thin all around the board. The first time the paint went flying was an accident, but soon everyone was throwing paint at each other and even the walls. Eva insisted they not paint over it, she liked it. The accident turned her towards art in a different way than her mother, but she was perhaps just as skilled. She found a love for drawing and later dabbled in painting.

• Abilities

  1) Strangers Like Me
  While the primary ability of seeing ghosts was the first to develop, she can also share that gift. How long it lasts depends on the person. If the person wishes to stop seeing, they will. However, those who wish to keep seeing can retain the gift for a few hours to a few years. The exact time has never been documented as it is a gift she has only given out twice before.
  
  2) Friends on the Other Side
  Eva is able to see, touch and communicate with the ghosts of those who have departed. Typically only those who had a peaceful passing are attracted to her, this goes for animals as well as people. While humans cannot see the spirits, most demigods can see luminescent butterflies flitting around her when they are present. Some, whether because of their own gifts or through her, can see the spirits.
  
  3) No Strings
  The spirits of those that stick around, or she summons, can be commanded at will. They can be used for a small array of reasons, including possession. Once the spirit has possessed a living host, she can further command it. However, the spirits do retain sentient thought. So often times asking or giving them permission to do things work just as easy, if not better. She can also give the spirits a tangible body for a short time. This is used mostly for offensive purposes, giving her and those she is with a great distraction in the form of invulnerable soldiers. However, once the spirit is tired, it disappears for a few hours (up to several days) before returning. Giving them their own tangible form is much more costly on Eva than simply allowing them to invade a living host.
